@SyddRELOADED What “Dancehall” are you talking about exactly because Dancehall has been ‘commercial’ since the 2000’s. Yes, acts like Vybz Kartel, Movado, Dexter Dapps, Spice etc. were “too niche” for mainstream radio but the genre itself has been popular for decades especially in the UK.
