The Vice President of Dangote Refinery hinted that should any sabotage arise, and no one buys from them, they will not hesitate to export out of Nigeria, just how they export their diesel and jet fuel. This is was yesterday, when the refinery was yet to reach an agreement with NNPCL. But, now NNPC have reached an agreement with Dangote to supply him crude in Naira. And this month the refinery will supply them 25million litres of fuel, and 30million next month. The refinery is expected to produce 650k barrels per day. But NNPC failed to provide them enough crude oil, which resulted to the delay in commencement of their operation. And, understanding that NNPC is in serious international debt with no international supplier willing to supply them Petrol. - One can arguably say that Dangote has gotten what he wanted, and is on course to secure Oil Monopoly. Recall that in July NNPC accused Dangote of seeking oil monopoly with poor fuel quality. Which frustrated him to to opt out of building a steel plant and suggesting that Dangote Refinery was up for sale. This morning Aliko Dangote used the opportunity to show Nigerians that the real color of quality fuel is "colorless", like water. And he assured Nigerians that, this is what they will be getting from his refinery, unlike the bad product that has been circulating the country for nearly three decades. Assuring Nigerians that their vechicles will last longer, and the environment will be safer. Dangote refinery will be the first refinery to work in Nigeria since 1996. Yet, Nigerians are saying it's not enough. That to properly combat the now natural fuel shortage, FG should allow independent suppliers to give NNPC competition.

It's incomplete, only 45% built, 3. Dangote wants NNPC to give him monopoly on petroleum products in the country. 4. Dangote's product are not authentic. Anyone who knows this government knows one thing, every popular project and program is usually the most vulnerable to Patronage. They always know you can always get away with anything and attack those who ask credible questions as “wale hawataki tujenge this or that”. We are all in support of Foreign Direct Investments and especially from our African investors like Dangote. The questions and responsibilities is on the Government of Kenya who must not blubber but just make everything public. 1. We asked about the shareholders of the Kenyan subsidiary of Dangote refinery - Dangote East African Refinery. The response from the President was lengthy but didn’t provide such a simple request. Who are the shareholders of the Kenyan Subsidiary of Dangote East African Refinery? Simple. No anger, no explanation. Just the shareholders list. 2. How much land are we ceding to Dangote refinery? Is the value being converted to Equity or shareholding? What is the value? 3. How much has Kenya committed to invest directly into Dangote East Africa Refinery? Is there premium in the amount? 4. In the Lagos Refinery, the company had to build their own infrastructure including a Port and roads. Will the investment done by the previous governments in regard to Port and all count for anything? How much? 5. Is there any agreement committing Kenya into off take of the refined products? At what cost? As I type this, Nigeria where Dangote Cement is dominant has the highest retail prices of Cement in Africa. This is based of policies and agreements like the ones we must now make public. If the government cannot provide these details, we will do so on their behalf. We are not asking these questions because we don’t know the details, we are only giving them a chance to do what a responsible government should do. We are African and Africa is our Business..
