In this Korty’s interview with Asake, this part stood out for me. Asake, while prompting his car’s voice assistant to play him one of his songs, first spoke with a slight accent. But the voice assistant couldn’t understand him and he quickly switched to his original, African self. This, coupled with the usage of the Yoruba language in the interview, shows that to cement your place in the world and get the admiration of the entire world, you must be your original self. This is one of the best interviews I’ve seen and I encourage everyone to go see it as well. God bless all the creatives behind this.

This is the type of play I worry about with the Hawks picking up Ben King. At this stage of his career, he should kill a young defender in this position. This should be a simple case of holding position and taking the mark. But where is the body use? Where is the physicality? He has Harry Dean (and credit to Harry for making the spoil) in all sorts of trouble here, but allows him to get to the fall of the ball in a spot King should have owned. He has to be better than this.

These 2 Addu High School students first attacked the other student you see in the video, on the street, pushing him to the ground and kicking his head and body, then continued the attack later on the bus. It has been 72 hours since the attack, yet Principal Nadeem is delaying the investigation, fearing he could be transferred to another school if the matter reaches the media. This is his 2nd major failure involving assault, bullying and fighting in 12 months time. This school is being undermined by incompetence. Principal Nadeem only cares about bright students and 90% of his focus is on them, to make sure at least 10-15 students make it to top ten each year.

We’ve seen guys like Judge, Stanton, Wells and others tinker with their stances to get into a better hitting position to attack strikes in the zone. When a guy like Volpe has struggled to hit consistently for his first 3 years, is constantly late on mid-velocity heaters in the middle of the zone and is constantly off-balance when he misses the off-speed stuff; you think to take a look at his pre-pitch habits especially what he’s doing with his hands and stride, and consider eliminating some of the unnecessary movements to simplify things and be ready to attack a pitch in the strike zone sooner. Volpe starts with his hands high above his head with some waggle to probably keep his hands moving and stay in rhythm, then as he strides he drops his hands into the slot while he loads, then wraps his hands behind him as he strides and keeps his weight back on his backside. That front foot needs to get down early as he gets his hands back to be ready to smoke something in the zone. Why hasn’t someone suggested dropping his hands pre-pitch in his stance to get them into the slot early, keep them back to prevent wrapping, and cut out one less moving part to get him better ready to attack pitches in the zone? He can even still have some waggle back there if he prefers to keep his hands moving. In theory if his hands are down and back already, all he needs to do is get his front foot down in time? It’s worth a try lol

Today I have to reach another city for an important work. Nearby petrol pumps had no petrol due to the ongoing #TruckDriversProtest so I was a bit tensed as to how I would reach my destination. I decided to wake up at 04:00 AM and reach the highway to take lift. Suddenly a truck stopped and driver offered me lift. He told me that he is from Rajasthan and he is going to return this truck to the owner. He told that today this is his last ride and from tomorrow he will do some other work. I asked, why? For which he replied it’s because of BJP, BjP has made laws in which we have to pay 10 lakhs and 10 year imprisonment if my truck meets with any accident. He told that he earns only 15k per month and doesn’t have his own house, he can’t pay this much. He started crying, I gave him some money when I reached the destination for the ride, that he denied And when I was getting down from the truck he said with tears, Babu ji don’t vote for bjp if you care for poor people in Bharat . I suffered a foot fracture during training and, after medical evaluation, I was instructed to have surgery and focus 100% on recovery. It's not easy to stay out of something I've been preparing for with so much dedication, and without a doubt this would be the most advantageous fight of my career but I understand that this is just another challenge on the way and I trust the plans that Allah has for me! Toots is a loving and affectionate 11 year old male Shihtzu. Sadly his owner has had a stroke and can no longer care for him. Toots is looking for someone to love him, a home he can cosy up in and sit on your lap. As you can see, he loves a treat and will patiently say “ma mum” for more! He is house trained and chipped. Toots is healthy with no medical issues. He hasn’t lived with children, his owner has kindly requested a home with no kids. He hasn’t been around cats. He does like to play with other dogs, especially the females. Toots hasn’t lived with another pet before. He travels fine in the car and goes to the dog groomers with no issue. This man, who is around 50 years old, had always dreamed of buying a motorcycle in his youth. But because of financial struggles and the responsibility of raising and supporting his family, he could never afford to buy his dream bike. Now that his children have grown up and started earning, he finally came to a motorcycle showroom today to buy the bike he had dreamed of owning. As he purchased his dream bike after 24 years, he became emotional. It was the same bike he could not afford to buy 24 years ago. He quietly sat down on the floor and kept looking at the motorcycle with tears in his eyes. It was as if all the emotions he had carried inside for years had finally come out. He had waited so long to fulfill this one dream. In life, some people get everything easily, while others have to wait 24 years just to buy a single motorcycle.

Here’s a back angle of the same play. This is a clean play IMO. I see some mild contact here, but no tackle “from behind” is performed which has been alluded to by some. Jakob is not a dirty player and has never proven to be. Kuithe plants with his left leg at the top of the route and you see a slight buckling inward of the left knee (valgus force which is typical in ACL tears.) This is normal contact with a TE/DB at the top of a route. Jakob disengages with his body after the initial contact. It appears to be a left knee injury. Possibly an ACL tear with some collateral damage based off the mechanism. Kuithe begins to hobble after the plant and eventually falls to the turf. Kuithe, in 2022 suffered an ACL injury and meniscus tear to his right knee. Data shows that once you’ve had an ACL Injury, there is a higher risk of injuring your opposite knee than your reconstructed knee. Furthermore, there is increasing data supporting the elevated risk of ACL injuries correlated to turf as well as style and type of cleats. My heart goes out to Kuithe.

Bernoulli was playing with his super annoying chicken toy (which is his favourite) which he noticed Ginger sleeping in her chair. He stopped playing, looked at her, looked at his toy and then brought it to her on the chair. Sadly we only caught the end of the video. Bernoulli seemed to be confused why she wasn’t playing with it and went over to show her that it squeaks when you bite it. It is so amazing that animals of not the same species have compassion for each other. Yes, Bernoulli mauled Ginger when he was a puppy, but now Bernoulli sees Ginger as his friend. If he grows up to be anything like Bunsen, Bernoulli will protect that cat with his life. Why? Beating within a Berner, no matter how much of a goober they start out as, is the heart of a kind hero.

The Grizzlies would put Ja Morant on the wing in an ISO position, with everyone cleared out to the other side. The Lakers would have the big show EARLY help on the near side block. Ja Morant would then read the help of the big man and the weakside corner If the big and corner were helping early, he would drive and find the corner. If the big was helping and the corner wasn't, he would find the big on the opposite block. If the big AND the corner were waiting for him to drive before showing help, he would force the switch onto a lesser defender and put the Lakers into a position where they had to show help. And as far as the rebounding, Ja Morant's defensive role is simple: When there is a corner camper, matchup with the corner camper. With no Reaves, and not matching up on Luka/Lebron, we know this will be the case and should keep him in uncontested weakside rebounding position on any deep shot attempts. This is why he has had 11+ Rebound Chances in 3/4 against the Lakers.
