My experience as a Defenders fan going to STL America's Center & The Dome for an away game. This was a solo trip, did not bring my family on this one. The St. Louis Battlehawks home games truly are one of the special environments for United Football League. I’ve been to 4 AWAY games for DC Defenders over the last 12 months and the environment for this one was fired up! They definitely should NOT move STL to a soccer stadium if they keep showing out like they did yesterday. I got to my hotel at 1AM on game day after a late flight from the west coast. I woke up 6 hours later, walked towards the stadium and randomly caught the STL player walk-ins. Then, I walked over to the tailgate and met up with The Bottom Line and enjoyed some mimosas and breakfast burritos with Ed Ploeger and his gang. Thanks for the hospitality! I was able to get him a signed Sam Kidd jersey as a thanks for all he does for the UFL community! After the tailgate, got in for gate drop at 0930, and went straight down to the field. I was able to say hi to a few players and talk with Steven McCrane as his son was nailing 50+ yard field goals with ease. Chatted up and made peace with a few STL fans around me. Once the game started, they had the place LOUD, and my watch kept alerting me that my hearing was getting damaged 🤣 . Being there for the first ever 4 point field goal by Matt McCrane made the travel worth it. After the home fans had a few rounds of beers, the heckling began (which was expected), but I had to pop about 6 beach balls/🎈 as I became the 🎯 for drunk fans as the only DC fan in the section. I tossed the balls back a few times until I immediately got hit with about 3 balls in a row. So that part was a bit of a let down, as I was just trying to enjoy a game. The halftime show was great. Overall, the game experience itself left something to be desired with the penalties and getting harassed by fans who were clearly recording trying to get rage bait engagement on 🎥. Probably won’t be going back to a STL game again, but I’m glad got to check it out! Pregame/Tailgate: 5/5 Halftime: 5/5 Game experience: 3/5 Getting to/from stadium: 5/5

This has to go down as the craziest thing you’ll ever see in your life 😅😭 Got Sabonis under 14.5 rebounds two minutes before he was about to be subbed out, when he had 11 rebounds. This was a massive error line on Underdog — they had his rotation wrong. He then goes in for a layup, gets four rebounds on the same play, and then sits out for the rest of the game… Can’t make this stuff up. 😅

2025 UGA-Texas game has been on SEC Network today. Had it on in the background while doing some stuff around the house. Couple random thoughts… - Really impressed with the back that Nate Frazier became last year. Doled out a lot of punishment in that 4th quarter - Kirby’s big game experience has allowed him to feel momentum and take his swings (4th&5/onside) before it becomes predictable. As the sport continues to compress, that might be worth a couple wins a year - Gunner’s ability to influence second/third level defenders off RPO/rollout/play-action looks when UGA gets the run going is really good. When gap scheme runs are hitting they become really hard to defend, especially when using the depth of the TE room to offset predictability. - UGA has to fight temptation to go into a shell after an early turnover. Lot of wasted possessions after Gunner’s INT in that game. - Zayden Walker’s bend off the edge is high level. Will be fun to watch in 2026 - Losing Bobo/Harris in those last two games is why Kirby and every other SEC coach are distressed by the CFP selection process and a 9-game SEC schedule - Mike Bobo is the favorite punching bag of some but he was cooking in the fourth quarter of that game. Found ways to freeze defenders and create leverage after Texas keyed in on Branch and did a good job stuffing a lot of zone looks up front.

Official Statement about the "ENDED" GAME 8 of the $10,000 Ascendance Series tonight. We're looking into the issue that occurred. We understand this effected all 3 players on Team Orchid. - Hambino🏳️‍⚧️ - RamBeau - ROC sirsay And potentially griefed their win in this DAY 1 of the series. The team's winnings which could've been $750 if they won the game, were brought down to $300 as they placed 3rd in the event following another 2 matches. We understand that the game trigged an 'ended match by admin' screen, making it seem as if the game was ended by one of our admins, which is 100% wasn't. We know that for certain. Ivan nor MrFoxy who were the only two admins in the series ended the match. It was not done on accident or on purpose. We will look into this issue with the correct people and make another statement as soon as we get word on the issue. For the time being, we offer to reimburse the roster an additional $200 to round up the prize winnings to $500, as we understand they could have easily won Match 8, and it's not a small amount of money they missed out on. We don't want anyone mistaking this as an act of admitting fault in any way. Have a good night. The clip in question:

Players play with maximum spacing, build endurance WITH THE BALL and, if done properly, SHOT QUALITY is the games' biggest emphasis. In the Olympics 👇🏼 The analytics behind the actions they deploy are much different than standard 5 on 5, as well. Shooting 25% from 3 is the equivalent of 50% from 2 so there is a HEAVY emphasis on making and defending the 3. This means there is a ton of switching and coverage solutions/counters to switching defenses with NO TAG AT THE HOOP. The game translates BEAUTIFULLY to 5 on 5. 3x3 rules are a simple constraint to make and defend the 3 ball at a much higher level using '3 man' actions. IMO, a must add to our 5 on 5 teams. I have not seen enough about the decision from Mike Vrabel and Tim Kelly to go for 2 down by 8 last night. Here’s why I loved it: 1) NFL teams this season have been successful on 55% of two-point conversion attempts. The odds were in the Titans’ favor. 2) Will Levis was dealing in the 2nd half. 3) Titans still had all three timeouts and the two-minute warning. 4) Miami struggled to move the ball on offense all night. Their three scoring drives went for 12, 7, and 59 yards. 5) If successful on the two-point conversion, a stop on defense and a TD wins the game. If unsuccessful, you can still send it to OT. 6) Titans offense marched down the field, scored the TD to make it a one possession game and essentially told Miami, “we are going for two because we know you cannot stop us right now.” The odds are in your favor. It’s a good mathematical decision. You want to psych out an opposing offense? Give them the ball knowing they need to run the clock out, or you are going to have a chance to WIN the game, not send it to overtime. They saw what your offense just did to their defense. They saw your QB on the sideline screaming and hyping everyone up. Cutting the lead to six put WAY more pressure on the Dolphins offense. You want to hype up your defense? Put them back on the field knowing your offense just did their job. Put them back on the field knowing a stop and a TD wins it. At that point, they aren’t in the mindset of “we need a stop to have a chance to go to OT.” They are thinking, “let’s go out here, get a stop, and give our offense a chance to WIN.” There’s a fundamental difference in playing to WIN and playing NOT to LOSE. This was a decision by a coaching staff that was playing to WIN. Brilliant game by Vrabel and Kelly. Brilliant execution late in the game by the offense and the defense. Completely out-coached one of the best offensive minds in the game. #Titans

Darian Mensah, after leading Duke to an ACC title and committing to return for 2026, entered the transfer portal on Jan 16, hours before the deadline, despite a $4-7.5M annual revenue-sharing deal with exclusive NIL rights, Miami Hurricanes is the frontrunner with a ~$10M package: $4-5M buyout, luxury housing, Adidas campaigns, and NIL perks for his sister. As of now, Darian has not signed a deal yet but it’s close. This last-second flip leaves Duke without a QB replacement, exposing NIL’s “Wild West” chaos. Players deserve options, but without regulations like buyouts or anti-tampering, it’s an endless auction eroding the sport. I wanted to take a moment to talk about my early stages in golf and hopefully this helps someone out there getting into the game. This video is from 2013, around 1 year into golf and I was shooting mid- low 90s. My Dad was a teaching pro so the fundamentals came easy. However, all my friends at the time played since they were 5 years old and I felt a ton of pressure trying to “catch up”. Golf never seemed to come easy for myself. I struggled really bad for 2-3 years before I saw any true progress. I was never a “natural” at the game At this time, my main goal was to play college golf so a lot of progress needed to take place. So, we moved to Florida as a family for my dads job and that’s when everything changed. I began to practice each day for 3-5 hours. I realized since I wasn’t a natural, I had to work harder then everyone. My scores began to drop into the 70s consistently after 3-4 years of playing. When I started seeing these results I got even more motivated. To play in college I needed to be posting low scores in competitive junior tournaments. These environments I believe took my game even to another level. I began shooting in the low 70s and 60s on a consistent basis. Getting to this point easily took 5 years of grinding, while some of my friends it took 2-3 years. I did end up playing 4 years of D2 college golf and posted a lot of scores I’m super proud of. My overall point is people progress at different speeds in this game. I realize not everyone can’t practice 5 hours a day. But if you haven’t seen results right away, or even years into the game, never give up. Something might click and everything could change!

Getting to this point easily took 5 years of grinding, while some of my friends it took 2-3 years. I did end up playing 4 years of D2 college golf and posted a lot of scores I’m super proud of. My overall point is people progress at different speeds in this game. I realize not everyone can’t practice 5 hours a day. But if you haven’t seen results right away, or even years into the game, never give up. Something might click and everything could change!

On Tuesday morning I hopped on a flight to NY by myself to watch game 4 of the #WorldSeries hoping for a sweep. I wore my lucky LA hat which had a 10-1 record when wearing it to a Los Angeles Dodgers postseason game since ‘17, including the WS game winner in ‘20. Game 4 was a nightmare. We got SMOKED (my hat now 10-2 😩). You know I wasn’t about to fly home and miss game 5. I had to be there if they clinched, so I pushed my flight back a day. Next thing I know, we’re down 5-0 in game 5. I started to wonder if staying an extra day was a mistake. Then the 5th inning began… It felt like everything was in slow motion from the moment Judge dropped that ball. I knew that very second the Dodgers would find a way to come back and win. There I was, sitting all by myself in a sea of thousands of Yankee fans with my leather Dodger jacket and lucky LA hat on. I had my AirPods in and was listening to my 90’s rock playlist to keep me company as I watched the Yankees fall apart. There was something surreal about this experience. Euphoric. Half way through the 9th inning I joined my fellow Dodger family in attendance behind the visitors dugout knowing a celebration was about to commence. Then it happened… WORLD CHAMPIONS. 🏆 #Dodgers My lucky LA hat = 11-2 💪 I’m retiring him.🧢

Dead Space 4 is probably not going to happen, even though the series has a big and loyal fan base that really loves the games. Chuck Beaver, a writer and producer on the first three Dead Space games, explained the reason on a recent podcast by sharing the simple business truth that “The numbers just aren’t there” to make another game. The 2023 remake sold about two million copies, but EA saw it as a disappointment because they wanted much higher sales. The older games sold about the same amount. Beaver noted that years ago a new Dead Space game needed around five million sales to continue, yet today, with much higher production costs, that number has jumped to 10 or 15 million copies. He called pure single-player horror games “a dinosaur fossil” in the game industry now because big companies prefer live-service games that keep making money for a long time. He added, “It’s disappointing that we can’t take a beloved franchise to its logical end but… I understand the numbers.” Glen Schofield, who helped create the series, recently pitched Dead Space 4 to EA with a plan to reuse assets from the remake and save the company 30 to 40 million dollars, but EA still said no. For now the series is on hold as the team has moved on to other projects

Blog 265 Diamondbacks first pitch ◦6-9: Gym, called parents, posted walking videos ◦10: Reunited with MikeyBets and felt complete ◦10:45: Arrived at Chase Stadium and was welcomed by the awesome Diamondbacks staff (shoutout Casey Wilcox) and walked right through the dugout and onto the field ◦Also huge thank you to Mike Dellosa (VP of ticket sales) who answered my LinkedIn dm and helped get set this all up ◦10:55: MikeyBets setup his camera in the Diamondbacks dugout which was hilarious to watch (he was viciously hungover) ◦11: Met with lots of the Diamondbacks and A’s players and coaches while they warmed up on Chase Field. Frank was in his element cracking jokes and talking baseball with the fellas ◦Everyone was incredibly welcoming, humble, and fun. The Diamondbacks manager, Torey Lovullo, called Frank a fucking legend ◦We crushed walk 277 circling the field pregame as Frank tracked the Mets game ◦11:30: Practiced the first pitch. We needed to loosen up the cannon more than we did in Milwaukee ◦12: Took a little break behind the dugout for Frank to mentally prepare for pitch ◦12:40: Mets tied it up ◦12:43: Frank broke into a dance-off with the mascots ◦12:45: Frank walked out for yet another Ceremonial First Pitch at an MLB game. Solid pitch, not quite a strike but we are getting there. These moments are always surreal for all of Fleming Enterprises ◦To Frank’s surprise, Paul Sewald, a former Met who Frank regularly eviscerated caught the first pitch. Paul is clearly a great person with a tremendous sense of humor and he gave Frank a customized autograph saying “fuck your computer” 🐐 ◦Frank is living his dream for the world to see ◦1:06: National Anthem, they had Frank and me stand in line with the Diamondbacks which was insane ◦1:10: Game started and we were brought into a beautiful suite ◦1:20: Frank did a food review in the suite and everyone fell dead silent watching in amazement ◦1:45: Got full stadium tour which concluded with Frank watching some baseball from the pool in centerfield. Of course, MikeyBets jumped right in full body ◦2:22: Frank raw dogged in the stadium and mentioned the Mets were tied in a rain delay in the 9th ◦2:45: Settled into our seats and watched the Diamondbacks take the lead in the 7th ◦3:15: Finished filming with Bets behind the sticks ◦3:30: The game was an elite experience via the Diamondbacks red carpet treatment. We can’t thank you all enough and congrats on the win ◦3:45: Drove to raw dog in Phoenix laughing about the absurdly fun day ◦3:47: Mets game resumed and car got real tense real quick ◦4: Raw dogged in a small place with a loud strikeout, not awkward at all ◦4:16: Mets gave up three runs and died, as did the vibes.
