Daphnis is only 8 km wide and it keeps a gap in Saturn's rings open just by existing. It sits inside the Keeler Gap, a 42 km clearing in the A ring. As it orbits, its gravity pulls surrounding ice particles into long rippling waves. A moon smaller than a city, sculpting Saturn's rings continuously.

@CuriosityonX The fun bit about Daphnis is which way the ripples point. Inner edge of the gap, the waves lead the moon. Outer edge, they trail. Closer orbits are faster. So youre looking at Keplers third law drawn into the ring.
