🟥 Prime Minister Carney’s pre-budget speech last night was EPIC. He hit it out of the park! 😃🫡 It was a rousing and immutable speech, in which he highlighted the work the new government has been engaged in over spring and summer, and laid out the goals for the near future. 🇨🇦 A forward-looking, inspiring, Canada-strong vision … OPPORTUNITY. This is such an exciting time!! ✅ 🚀 Below is an edited and shortened version of the full speech, featuring most of the main highlights… 🎞️ PM CARNEY 🍁: ◾️ “We’ve learnt that now is not the time to be cautious because fortune favours the bold.” ◾️ “We used to build things in this country. We can build again… We used to take big, bold risks in this country – it is time to swing for the fences.” ◾️ “We’ll build a stronger economy where everyone has a chance to get ahead.” ◾️ “It’s not just what we build but HOW we build. We will build inclusively, in full partnership with Indigenous Peoples.” ◾️ “We will build in solidarity with workers - creating good union jobs.” ◾️ “All of the big projects we are driving forward … will create high-paying careers, many of them union careers here in Canada.” ◾️ “The upcoming budget will balance the operating deficit in 3 years.” ◾️ “It is fact that we are forecast to be the 2nd FASTEST growing economy in the G7 over the course of the next 2 years.” ◾️ “We will do what it takes. We’ll play to win. We will bet on Canada and all Canadians.” #LeadershipMatters

Recently, negotiations of different countries with Belarus have intensified. What is the significance of Belarus for different countries? ◾95% of China's land transit of goods go through Belarus (the land transit comprises 3% of all China's exports). ◾️The China-Belarus "Great Stone" Industrial park is the largest overseas industrial site of China. It was created with personal support and involvement of Lukashenko and Xi Jinping. The original plan was for it to become a gateway for Chinese goods into Europe and Russia. ◾️Lukashenko can also provide information on Russia for China. Belarus has logistical and geopolitical significance for China. The situation has become even more intense with Poland closing its borders with Belarus due to Zapad-2025 military training. ◾️Russia also makes use of Belarus' location to threaten Europe and NATO, first and foremost, with nuclear weapons. A large military base is being built in Belarus, allegedly, for the Oreshnik missile and/or nuclear weapons. ◾️The United States have relaunched direct contacts with Belarus, wishing to limit China's influence, as well as limit Russia's military presence, especially in the nuclear area. 📹: Lukashenko being greeted in Beijing in June

Where we are now and what can we expect in the coming months within the context of Russia's war in Ukraine: ◾️Ukraine and the world continue to await tensely for the results of the US elections. In the meantime, Ukraine and Russia continue active diplomatic actions to consolidate support for their allies. ◾️ Russia's primary focus is on discrediting Ukraine in the West, dividing our allies, and interfering in the US elections to divide Americans and increase instability. ◾️ During his visit to the US, President Zelensky met with President Biden and had meetings with presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. ◾️ Ukraine continues to destroy Russian military depots and military logistics; Ukraine produces its own drones and other weapons. ◾️ Russia increases its weapons and drones production as much as it can, despite sanctions. It uses weapons supplied by Russian allies - Iran and North Korea. There are reports that production of Russian Shahed drones has exceeded Russian original plans. ◾️ Russia is intensifying its strikes on Ukrainian cities, deliberately targeting apartment blocks, hospitals, and nursing homes. Its main purpose is to cause as much panic as possible, intimidate Ukrainians, and force them to leave their lands and homes. Strikes are unfortunately likely to continue, especially for Sumy and Kharkiv. Zaporizhzhia is now within the range of Russian KAB bombs, so it is likely to be under constant strikes as well. ◾️Despite the lack of "cannon fodder", Putin doesn't dare yet to announce open mobilization in Russia and increases hidden mobilization instead: increases payments for signing army contracts and recruits soldiers from other countries, including countries of Africa. Russia is increasing its presence there at an alarming rate which is very dangerous for this region. ◾️ In the coming month, the Russians will probably try to solve the "Kursk issue" at any cost. The "deadline" is likely set before the US elections at most but a desirable timeline for them is before the BRICS summit in Kazan (22-24 October) - to demonstrate to the BRICS guests that Russia is in control of the situation and is a serious partner. Otherwise, the situation when a part of Russia's territory is under Ukrainian control (when Putin had the intention to capture Ukraine "in three days" almost three years ago), is rather humiliating for Russia. During August and September, Russians have accumulated forces, have reformed and will now try to counterattack our troops. How the situation in Kursk region will develop depends on many factors and on the decisions that AFU leaders will make. ◾️ One of the key elements of these upcoming months are the elections in Moldova and Georgia at the end of October, where the influence of Russia and pro-Russian forces is enormous. ◾️We are likely to hear increased nuclear threats and other escalation rhetoric from Russia. ◾️Ukraine will face further problems due to electricity shortage. ◾️ Due to the escalation in the Middle East and the US elections, Ukraine is fading from the information field, which Russia is actively using, knowing that its crimes against Ukrainian civilians will not make the headlines in the Western media. Accordingly, many people outside Ukraine have the impression that the situation is getting better. But this is not the case at all: the situation is very tough and complicated. And it will continue to get worse. The largest war in Europe since the Second World War continues to rage on. The whole world is waiting for the US elections. The situation of strategic uncertainty will last at least until November. It is crucial to go through this period with a cool head, keeping the focus on Ukraine and showing Russia that the West does not withdraw its support. I'd like to end with a reminder of these Putin's words, which he said in June 2024. Nothing has changed for him: he intends to wage a war until the end. And it must become his own end.

Footage of joint Russian-Iranian drills just two weeks ago, February 19, 2026. When Iran turned to Putin for help, it was refused, even though Russia called Iran an important ally and signed a strategic partnership agreement with it a year ago. Russia used Iran as a tool to put pressure on the West and destabilize the region: ◾️ Iran supplied Russia with thousands of Shahed-136 attack drones and technology for their production on Russian territory under the name "Geran-2." ◾️ Iran supplied Russia with short-range ballistic missiles. The total value of contracts for the supply of missiles and drones at the beginning of 2023 was estimated at $1.75-3 billion. ◾️ In return, Russia supplied its own weapons to Iran, including air defense systems and aircraft, which, as we can see, did not help Tehran. ◾️ Russia helped Iran develop its nuclear program to increase instability in the region and strengthen the "anti-Western coalition." ◾️ Using its influence, Russia maintained its military bases in Syria and shared military expenses with Tehran. ◾️ Iran, which has been under sanctions for decades, helped Russia circumvent sanctions: the development of the North-South Transport Corridor through Iran allowed Russia to export goods bypassing European ports. ◾️ Iran helped Russia master methods of covert financial transactions and parallel imports. Russia's main objective now is destabilization in the region, prolonging the war, driving up oil prices, and diverting financial and military aid away from Ukraine. ‼️ It is likely that Russians helped Iran develop a plan for strikes against the Persian Gulf countries. It is only natural that Ukrainians are now being asked for help in defending against Iranian drones. Ukraine has unique experience in countering Shahed drones. And Ukraine knows very well what Russia is like, what methods it uses, and what its goals are. What finally needs to be understood about Russia is that it has never been a reliable partner! Its partnership is rhetorical. Russia pursues exclusively its own interests, setting up, deceiving, and abandoning its so-called allies and violating the terms of agreements and deals. Syria, Venezuela, and Iran are vivid examples of this. 📹: Russia-Iran drills/Radio Liberty

Some key statements of the President of Ukraine at the World Economic Forum 2026 yesterday: ◾️ "Just last year, here in Davos, I ended my speech with the words: 'Europe needs to know how to defend itself.' A year has passed - and nothing has changed. We are still in a situation where I must say the same words." ◾️ "Maduro is on trial in New York. Sorry, but Putin is not on trial. And this is the fourth year of the biggest war in Europe since World War II - and the man who started it is not only free, he's still fighting for his frozen money in Europe." ◾️ "Why can President Trump stop tankers from the Shadow Fleet and seize oil - but Europe doesn't? Russian oil is being transported right along European shores. That oil funds the war against Ukraine. That oil helps destabilize Europe. So Russian oil must be stopped and confiscated, and sold for Europe's benefit. Why not? If Putin has no money, there's no war for Europe. If Europe has money, then it can protect its people." ◾️ "If Russian warships are sailing freely around Greenland, Ukraine can help - we have the expertise and weapons to ensure not one of those ships remains. They can sink near Greenland just as they do near Crimea. For us, the sea is not the first line of defense, so we can take actions, and we know how to fight there. If we were asked, and if Ukraine were in NATO - but we are not - we would solve this problem with the Russian ships." ◾️ "Europe needs to know how to defend itself. If you send 30 or 40 soldiers to Greenland - what is that for? What message does it send? What’s the message to Putin? To China? And even more importantly, what message does it send to Denmark - the most important - your close ally?" ◾️ "There's still no real progress on establishing a Special Tribunal for Russian aggression against Ukraine, against the Ukrainian people. Europe hasn't reached even the point of having a home for the Tribunal. Too often in Europe, something else is always more urgent than justice." ◾️"There was so much talk about the protests in Iran - but they drowned in blood. The world has not helped the Iranian people enough. And what will Iran become after this bloodshed? If the regime survives, it sends a clear signal to every bully: kill enough people, and you stay in power." ◾️ "Europe needs united armed forces - forces that can truly defend Europe. Today, Europe relies only on the belief that if danger comes, NATO will act. But no one has really seen the Alliance in action. If Putin decides to take Lithuania or strike Poland, who will respond? Right now, NATO exists thanks to the belief that the United States will act, that it will not stand aside, and will help. But what if it doesn't?" ◾️ "When you refuse to help people fighting for freedom, the consequences return - and they're always negative. Belarus in 2020 is an example. No one helped their people. And now, Russian Oreshnik missiles are deployed in Belarus - within range of most European capitals. That would not have happened if the Belarusian people had won in 2020."

Many people in Europe are skeptical about Russia's intentions to attack Europe. They believe that Putin (Russia) will be satisfied with just Ukraine. That is why even some politicians and intellectuals voice the call to "give Ukraine to Putin" and thus "save Europe." This outlook is wrong. And it is very dangerous, above all for European countries. The truth is that Putin has turned Russia into a war machine that is very difficult to stop. And he does not want to stop it because the current regime survives only thanks to war. Arguments on this subject are presented by the OpenMinds research project: ◾️ Russia has switched to a war economy, and the reversal process is extremely difficult; ◾️ growing amounts of intelligence indicate hybrid, cyber, and information operations, as well as sabotage attempts in Europe; ◾️ consolidation, increasing influence, and coordination of the authoritarian axis and its satellite states. ‼️ But there is another important argument that is often overlooked: ◾️ Russia's preparation of a new militarized generation. Moscow has normalized war for younger generations of Russians. Russian propaganda has already turned Ukrainians into "Nazis and fascists" - subhumans who must be killed. Now it is doing the same with Europeans. A new OpenMinds investigation, "Kids with Drones," analyzed how stories involving children are spread on Russian social media to promote war. The most important findings include the integration of drone piloting programs into schools, camps, and even kindergartens, alongside the normalization of a narrative of existential confrontation with the West. OpenMinds analyzed 30,000 posts across 4,000 Telegram channels. Here are the conclusions: ◾️ In just the first seven months of 2025, there were 8,600 unique posts about involving children in work/training with drones - six times more than in the whole of 2022. This means that it is not only the existence of such programs that is important, but also the work of information campaigns to normalize them in society and create a new paradigm of upbringing. ◾️ More than 2,000 posts in July set a record since the start of the full-scale invasion. One of the most widely shared stories was the opening of infrastructure for drone 'competitions' in six kindergartens in Perm. ◾️ It's not only about Russian children. Drone programs are also being promoted among Ukrainian children in the occupied territories — 963 posts were found about tournaments and learning sessions, often organized by Russian military personnel. ◾️ About one-third of the posts relate to education - lessons and courses ranging from kindergarten classes to the "Cadres for UAVs" federal program within the framework of University 2035. And in May, the education ministry even released a textbook for 8th-9th grade students with guides on how to control FPV drones. The full report can be viewed at the link:

Resonance A Plague Tale Legacy is the Uncharted and Tomb Raider style game we’ve been wanting for a long time. It’s completely different from its predecessors and this time, it features more Greek and Minoan mythology as a central part of its dark fantasy world.
