Joe Nemechek failed to qualify for the 1997 #DAYTONA500. He purchased the No. 73 car from Phil Barkdoll, so that he could race in the event. Nemechek sported a unique No. 73 car during final practice for the race. The No. 75 car of Rick Mast also missed the field. Loy Allen Jr. made the field but crashed his primary car. Those two teams cut a deal for Allen Jr. to use the No. 75 team’s primary car, sponsor, crew and equipment in the race but with his usual No. 19 on the door.

Do Flock Cameras Solve Crime? Prevent Crime? Or Just Record It? Turns out, there’s no independent, peer-reviewed study showing that Flock reduces crime. The strongest research saying Flock SOLVES crime is a white paper, written by Flock, using Flock's own data. In their own paper, Flock admits the core question, whether these crimes 'otherwise would have remained unsolved in the first place’... was never tested. And that question, in their own words, is 'unlikely to be solved at scale via quantitative analysis.' The strongest independent evidence for ALPR technology closing cases is a 2019 study, of a different company's cameras, which found clearance gains for auto theft and robbery that WERE NOT statistically significant once researchers controlled for other factors. Cities that have been covered in Flock cameras saw the same crime reduction as cities with none, because crime fell nationwide everywhere at the same time. Flock simply stood in front of a falling curve it didn't cause and called it proof” The data being referenced is from Council on Criminal Justice and it shows crime days through 2025 - Nationwide crime days showed a 36% decline since 2021 - Houston Texas which is heavily saturated with flock only saw a 36% reduction in crime during this same time period Meaning the crime rate fell at the same rate whether there were flock cameras or not Keep in mind there are 3,800 flock cameras in the Houston area so you would logically expect the decline in crime to be much greater, but homicides only fell at the national average

It turns out Flock Safety Cameras love and demand privacy, but only for themselves and their employees - Flock business location says you can’t film - Flock moved locations but they instructed the old building to not give out their location to anyone asking - Security guard at Flock building says he doesn’t consent to being filmed and he doesn’t want to be “under surveillance” Here’s where it gets really crazy - The new flock building is identified but they won’t put their name on the building, or on any of the building signs - Security won’t confirm Flock is in the building - No one is allowed to film, no one is even allowed to access any floors in the building Flock demands extremely privacy, but only for themselves Americans must be under surveillance but for them, you can’t even film outside an old building…. Amazing….
