Neo Geo was an awesome console. It was priced way too high at the time though and, though everyone wanted one, nobody got one. Found some success in coin op arcades.

Unfortunately that's true, the price was absolutely killer. But then again, it was the most powerful console around back in the day. It essentially housed the same arcade board found in real cabinets.

I remember this game in the arcades, I always thought the main players in this game were from Spain hehehehe.

I have it on a multicart in my cabinet, but honestly I've never really played it for long.

@Neo_Geo_Forever The funny thing is that they located Madrid (and Spain) in South America instead of Europe

I forgot Spinmaster even made it to the Neo Geo. Data East had such a weird fun run in the 90s.

Karnov for arcade (Data East/1987). A game about a circus strongman who can use special items for different functions (ladders, bombs, etc.). Goal is to collect the pieces of a lost treasure map. Did cameos in other Data East titles, like Bad Dudes and Fighter's History, becoming a kind of cult mascot for the company. Ported to NES, C64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Mac OS and DOS.

Did you know? Joe & Mac Returns (1994) by Data East takes the caveman series in a different direction, turning it into a single-screen action platform game focused on clearing enemies quickly with combos and power-ups. Its bright visuals and frantic multiplayer chaos make it feel closer to Snow Bros. than the earlier platformers.

J.J. Squawkers for the arcade (Athena/1993) is a colorful and fast-paced arcade action-platformer. You play as one of two bird brothers, battling through levels to stop the villains who bombed your treehouse. Worth for its cartoonish charm, tight controls, and uniquely aggressive difficulty. It never received any home console ports.

The reason I got into game collecting was the Neo Geo MVS arcade system. Around 2005, I came across an arcade game community where modders gathered—people who converted arcade games so they could be played at home on consoles. While being active in that community for a long time, I started collecting MVS games one by one. Eventually, that expanded into collecting console systems, PC games, and later even full arcade cabinets. I also began collecting Neo Geo AES from that time. Although I collect many kinds of games, the Neo Geo series is especially meaningful to me.

In August 1994 the Chiefs traveled to JAPAN for a preseason game. DT Joe Phillips brought along his camcorder to make a home movie of the trip. You may never see anything like this ever again!

If SNK had the Neo Geo AES, Capcom had the CPS Changer. Both were designed to let people enjoy arcade games at home, but unlike the AES, the CPS Changer wasn’t really built as a traditional home console from the ground up. In many ways, it felt more like an official supergun made by Capcom themselves. It even supported the Super Famicom CPS Fighter stick. A lot of people had the chance to experience MVS hardware thanks to the AES, but the CPS Changer was much rarer, so not many people ever got to see one in person. When you first connect it to a TV, the controller gives off a bit of a Super Famicom vibe, but once the game starts, the polished graphics and incredible sound immediately make it clear that you’re basically playing real arcade hardware at home.

In 2010, 80 year-old Forrest Fenn hid treasure in the mountains north of Santa Fe. The key to finding it lay within a cryptic 24-line poem. Watch the rare story of a treasure hunt where the treasure is actually found in Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn's Treasure. Now playing.

Did you know your robot vacuum creates a 3D map of your home? Then they store it on data servers which you have no access to. When you get into the fine print of who really owns the maps… It gets messy. Smart appliances are not a smart thing to have in your home.
