I guess our approach is more visual. Tho they have the same use case, sending device data over OSC.

how is the data received? i tried connecting my laptop to the hotspot from my phone and accessing localhost:8000 on a browser, but that does not work

So OSC is short for Open Sound Control. It’s a protocol for sending simple values over a local network. First you need an app that supports OSC receiving, like a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), or a custom app with an OSC framework. Then you can use Data OSC to send values.

The amount of user data being collected by threads is insane. They now have access to your text messages, financial data, health and fitness data, “sensitive info”, and more. I know this is somewhat normal for social media apps, but this much data seems unnecessary and an overreach.
