Naval Ravikant reveals why getting rich has never been easier in human history and why most people are playing the wrong game: 1. status games are zero sum. wealth creation is not. in hunter gatherer times there was no stored wealth so status was the only game worth playing. high status meant you ate first. today you can build a product, scale it, and create abundance for millions of people without taking anything from anyone. i can be wealthy and you can be wealthy at the same time. you cannot both be number one. 2. there has never been an easier time in history to create wealth. a few hundred years ago you were born a serf and you died a serf. there was almost no way out. that has changed entirely. the leverage available today through technology, code, and media means wealth creation is accessible to more people than at any point in human history. it is still hard. it will not fall in your lap. but it is possible. 3. status is hardwired into us because wealth creation is evolutionarily new. we spent hundreds of thousands of years in hunter gatherer societies where status determined survival. wealth only became real with the agricultural revolution, accelerated with the industrial revolution, and exploded with the information age. your brain has not caught up. it still craves the ranking ladder. 4. get rich first. then go for fame and status if you still want it. trying to build a following to then monetize it is a much harder path than building wealth first and trading some of it for status later. rich people go to davos, donate to nonprofits, start appearing in films. they trade money for status because once you have money that is what you want next. do it in that order not the other way around. 5. you can reach a point where you are satisfied with your wealth. you cannot reach that point with status. the leaderboard never ends. youtube shows you your likes going up and down every single day and keeps you running on the treadmill forever. wealth has a finish line. status does not.

This is, by far, one of the best uses of modern AI. If you don't use embeddings when querying your database, you are definitely leaving a lot on the table. In this video, I'll show you how to run semantic searches using OpenAI and PostgreSQL. It's all thanks to Pgai, an open-source PostgreSQL extension: Here's what will happen: 1. We'll create a simple table with news articles 2. We'll generate embeddings for those articles 3. We'll run queries on top of those embeddings For this video, I generated the embeddings using a simple query, but pgai Vectorizer would do the same automatically as new information makes it into the database. This is awesome! If you have a PostgreSQL database with data you are searching over, you should start experimenting with semantic searches immediately. For most use cases, a combination of full-text search + semantic search is the best approach. If you don't have a PostgreSQL database around, you can try free for 30 days using Timescale: Thanks to the TimescaleDB (by Tiger Data) team for partnering with me on this post!

Grok Bot might be the first tool that lets one non-technical person run an entire business with a team of AI agents. My friend Billy runs his whole newsletter business on Grok Bot agents, and I think we're about to see 100,000+ businesses like his. BEST PRACTICES: 1. The agents run on a shared cloud computer, so running your newsletter, your X, and your receipts all in one place creates context bloat and burns tokens fast. One mission per setup. 2. Start with a Chief of Staff. Give it access to your existing docs (Notion, Slack, Gmail), have it audit the business, then tell you the top three agents to build first to drive revenue. 3. Perfect a task with the Chief of Staff before spinning up a new agent. Have it do the outbound sales once, review it, and only then say "now build a bot that does exactly that." You earn each new hire by proving the task works first. 4. Constraints are the feature. You get a limited number of agents, one thread per bot, like DMs with a teammate. It forces you to stay mission-oriented instead of spinning up a bot for every random idea. 5. You make the decisions, not the agent. Billy's team spent three weeks unable to pick where content should live. At some point you say "we're doing Notion, no more tinkering" and move on. 6. Run week one with no new agents. Build the team, learn to fly the plane, just execute. Week three is when you find the real gaps and expand, someone to man the inbox, someone for the Shopify shop. 7. Then add routines so it works while you sleep. Ask your Chief of Staff what recurring jobs would move the business forward overnight, and it builds the automations that run without you. Different style, but the same ENGINE ⁉️ Great hitters have differences, but under the hood they used the same engine. Taking a look at a few different big league hitters. All of them have their own unique style and setup. But what I want to focus on here is how all of them load the backside. They all are loading AROUND the backside and allowing the back pocket to take them into the forward move. This allows them to control the move forward while still maintaining the feeling of staying back. This also sets up the DIRECTION of the swing to cover the outer half and create speed behind that location. We have a mix of guys like Harper, Bichette, and Tatis who sometimes switch up the style of the load between leg kicks, toe taps, and no strides, but the way the backside loads in each different style remains the same. While guys like Suarez, Machado, and Witt replicate the same style more often. Want to be great? Start with your load. #Develop #Hitting

What a fantastic day it was today! Another HUGE turnout in the rain for our lovely walk. It’s so great to see new friendships happening and we are all now looking forward to our Sunday mornings. Big thank you to YOUR NAME ON YOUR BAR SNACKS who made up loads of packets of mints and trial mixes to give out to all who joined and again a massive thank you to Terrace Cult clothing who brought down loads of water proof jackets and T Shirts that were given out for free to everyone who attended. Really proud of how this group is growing week on week! Also big thank you to our paramedic Stephen who does us a lesson today on how to use a di-fibulator and give cpr. If you want to join us, please do. You are all welcome. This walk is about supporting one another! Every single Sunday morning at 8am from The Thatchers Arms Pub, CM13 3HU. Love you all. But when the tiger’s back heals clean, the world will not be able to look down on us anymore. The South will resemble the North and the North will resemble the South. When the two colors on the flag mix to become purple in unity, the 70 million citizens will become one and look up at the sky with hands in hands. The day will come. With each step we take, we get closer to reunification. We’re not a small rabbit, but a brave tiger. We may not be together, but we are looking up at the same sky.
