So, according to Dave: the company that regularly has 10-12,000 people every show is “behind the times” but the show that gets 4,000 on a GREAT night is the style that people want to see.

WWEs style is always just slower. Loads of pausing, loads of slow facial expressions because that's the easiest form of acting. For some it must add to it as so many people love it, but to me it's like I'm watching something in slow motion.

Dave is completely wrong- right now nobody is reacting to either- wwe is too slow and the wrestling is secondary and AEW there is too much wrestling and it’s too fast and you have no time to process anything- we need a happy medium

it's mf'ers in here that have never been to a wrestling show (let alone left their basement), but want to tell Meltzer - who's been to these shows all over since the 80s - that he's wrong. gotta love the internet lol

Also the storylines are a joke anymore. It’s the same story with a different character week after week. In one month, wrestlers are buddies, then enemies, then it’s a rivalry, then it’s over. Then start same story, same sequence, different characters.

So wwe = boring and too much talking and wrestlers wearing ads. And crickets! AEW = best wrestling show out there. Lots of good matches, less promos. And hyped up crowd! Work rate promotion!

slow wrestling in wwe is not the slow wrestling you had with kings road matches in japan. back then it felt like the competitors were actually thinking and planning what to do to actually beat their opponent.

Dave always says it's unfair to compare the two, but never explains why. You ask him why it's unfair to compare the AEW and WWE experience, he will explain the difference between the two and the reasons for it, but not why the comparison is unfair ...

I don’t think either are that good anymore. The word that comes to mind most is unbelievable. The matches, the characters, the shots…… they just aren’t believable or relatable anymore.

Dave has been on the wrong side of wrestling since the 80’s. That’s why he’s broke just like the wrestlers he obsesses over.

WWE realized that their fans are about entrances more than ring work and they provide it.

He sounds sane when his takes are objective and unbiased.

WWE is a one act play. AEW is actual physical/athletic wrestling.
