David Cone discussing the background of what happened with Pedro Guerrero. "Barry Lyons still gets Christmas cards from me" 🤣

Cone was in the right. He is allowed to pitch inside. It’s his job. And after enough of Pedro’s BS staring. Cone threw a curve to hit the tower. No fastball. This is poetry pitching by David Cone.

Felt like he was a lot closer to the HoF than he got credit for. His 11 year run from 1988 -1998 was a great stretch.

Actually he was kind of a coward. At least he was NL. Never understood why pitchers with pinpoint accuracy could get away with that nonsense but when batters throw their bats with minimal chance of hitting anything it’s a big deal.

Cone was a little POS throwing at the head. Then, after Pedro Guerrero is being held back, cone starts talking smack. Just a ‘Chicken S’ thing to do.

I'm Team Pedro and always will be. Once he threw the bat... Why not really go after Cone? Pedro had the strength to actually rip is entire right arm off. I don't support that though. Usually. 😀

I just remember Cone’s clutch pitching performance against Atlanta in game 3 of the ‘96 World Series after the Yankees had gotten killed at home in the first 2 games. Turned the series around.

I once spent an afternoon bass fishing with David Cone when I was young. Just a kid using the same dock as him at the Candlewood Inn. He gave me a blue baseball bat out of his trunk. Super nice guy. Good fisherman, too.

Pedro Guerrero so tough that he took a side step away from Cone hoping somebody would grab him. Weak.
