“The last time that we were touring and stuff, I think touring is quite an isolating experience. And on top of that, when we started touring, it was 2021, so it was kind of like still depths of the pandemic. We were like one of the first tours to go back out. So I think that tour started in that way where it was like, I was really bubbled up even kind of within the tour. And then staying on that tour, we put an album out and it ended up being like two and a half years type time. It's just a long time to be in like a bubble where you're not really spending that much time like in the world around you, other than shows and hotels and stuff. And when I finished, I kind of went off and was spending a lot of time in Italy, and was kind of like having this quiet time, and I was just feeling a lot of my life as I was kind of like, craving like quiet and kind of like private spaces. I was just feeling myself kind of like shut out a lot of the world, “I think, and I think the last couple of years for me was about, you know, there's a lot of things that I think I got used to saying no to, like invites from friends and like maybe a weekend trip or like a birthday party or something. I think I just got used to, you know, if I have a week at home, I don't want to go somewhere else for three days. I just want to stay home, you know. And I think when I got to Italy and was kind of out in this quiet place, I felt like, okay, if I'm going to spend all this time out here and I'm going to keep saying no to everything, I'm just going to like shut myself off from the world. And while parts of that sound appealing, I also like, I love people and I love like being in the world, you know, so it was kind of, I think for me, like there's been both the thing of like learning to set boundaries and stuff is a large part of that has also been learning when not to set boundaries and when to open up. Being intentional with the things that you don't do and being intentional with the things that you do do. Qullamaggie on Differences Between Drawdowns “So most of my drawdowns now, they’re from highs. But let’s say I make, I increase my account by 30%, and then I give it back a third of it. The worst kind of drawdowns is when you have already lost money for a while, or been going sideways for a while. Like going sideways for months and months, and then you have a big drawdown. That’s really demoralizing. That’s the worst kind of drawdown. The best kind of drawdown is when things been going really, really well, and then you give some of it back. Like, let’s give you an example. Like here back in 2014, late 2014, when I lost half my account in one day. I had been on a big run for the past six months or so. Meanwhile, here I had a drawdown. Yeah, this is where I lost at 700k I think. You know, I had been going sideways for like 3, 4 months, and then I had a big drawdown. Now that’s demoralizing. That’s really demoralizing. So it’s a, there is a difference between a drawdown and a drawdown. In my opinion, even though, even if you lose the same amount of money, psychologically there’s a huge difference.”

Elon Musk: Sending a Roadster in space is silly and fun, but I think silly fun things are important. “I think it looks so ridiculous and impossible. And you can tell it’s real because it looks so fake. Honestly, we’d have way better CGI if it was fake. And the colors all look kind of weird in space. There’s no atmospheric occlusion. It’s like everything looks too crisp. But we know we didn’t really test any of those materials for, you know, is it space hardened or whatever. So it just has the same seats that a normal car has. It’s just literally a normal car in space, which I kind of like the absurdity of that. And if you look closely, on the dashboard there’s a tiny Roadster with a tiny spaceman. Hot Wheels made a Hot Wheels Roadster, and a friend of mine suggested, hey, why don’t you put that Hot Wheels Roadster with a tiny spaceman in the car too? Like, that’d be cool. So we did that. I mean, it’s kind of silly and fun, but I think silly fun things are important. And normally for a new rocket, they’d launch like a block of concrete or something like that. I mean, that’s so boring.
