David Sedaris thinks that if we just lived for the plot, we'd have material to write anything. He explains: "My friend asked me what I did in the afternoon. I said, 'I went to the post office.' He replied, 'Why would you do that? You don't even need to...

Adin Ross speaks on chatting with President Trump at UFC last night, clarifying his respect for the presidential office no matter who is in office, and says he wants to do a stream with Kai Trump “The President of United States, no matter what, I don't care who's in office, I will always stand up when they walk in the room. I will always shake their hand, and I'll be honest, Dana and Trump called me over. Trump looked at me and my dad, I came on over, I shook his hand, and all he asked me was, will we see you at the White House for UFC.” “I feel like the only way I'm gonna go to the White House is by streaming. I want to stream it, bro. You guys know my stance on all politicians.” “I said what's up to Kai Trump. Me and Kai Trump should do a stream in Erewhon, that would bang, that would go f—king crazy, Erewhon and golf stream.” “And you guys know my stance on everything, bro, going on in the world, there's a war, there's all this stuff, and I'm all for people, human beings. So I want to make that very clear, but I want to let you guys know I don't care which President is in office. I don't care if I like them or don't like them. I will always stand and do the right thing as an American, because I love my country always. I don't care who you are. I don't care what you stand for. That's what you do. I don't care if it's Gavin Newsom. I don't care if it's Joe Biden, Obama, Trump, Mamdani, but I don't care who it is. I will stand. I will show my respect. I don't have to like you or your policy. I will always be respectful. Because guess what? That's what Americans do.”

Matthew McConaughey reveals the three words his dad said that changed his life “I said dad, I don't want to go to law school anymore. I want to go to film school and after about a 5 second pause, he goes, ‘Are you sure that's what you want to do?’ I reply yes sir” “Another long pause. Then I hear, ‘Well, don't halfass it’” “I remember just beaming, hopping up just like Yes! My dad not only said okay. The way he said don't halfass it, it was also, okay. Let's go big boy. Own that shit. Get some leverage. Get some horsepower behind where you're going. Go do it” “I remember to this day and I've learned this later I think from becoming a father, part of what I believe happened to him and why he said that to me that way on that call was the way that I asked him. I wasn't really asking. It was, ‘I don't want to go to law school, Dad. I want to go to film school.’ I didn't stutter. He heard his son saying this is what I want to do” “What I think happened to him in that moment is what I think any father, any parent loves. You raise your kids in a certain way and you give them a guideline, a ladder to climb and here's the guidelines and if you do it this way, you're most likely going to have some success in life and it'll work out for you and then when we do it that way, we can be proud parents” “But what do we really want to happen when our kids are out of the house and they're on their own? We kind of want them to call one day and go, ‘I'm breaking out. I'm going my own way.’ And as a parent, we go, as much as it may scare us, we're going, ‘Yes!’ I gave my kid the confidence and the courage and the foundation to say they're going to go their own way” “In a way, I think every parent honors and loves that moment. I heard my dad, when he didn't hear me stutter, when he heard me directly say what I said. I wasn't really asking him. Even though I was out of respect asking him, the way I said it, I wasn't asking him and I think he felt that” “Don't halfass it”

“You're not entitled to get what you want. I love you. You're entitled to earn what you're willing to go work for. And that's true in our families, in our parenting, in our marriage, in our companies, in society. If we want it, go earn it. If that's positivity, have positivity. I think and I am a positive person. I am jacked. I am excited. Obviously, you can feel my energy through technology here, I hope. Frankly, think positive people just need to get a lot stronger. I really do. I mean, I don't want to call them weak because people hear that differently but it kind of is. Look, if you want that positivity to stick, you’ve got to get tougher. Not sacrifice your love and your care and your empathy, but you got to get tough. And then we have to figure out how to love the people who are cynical because I don't think there's a ton of bad people in the world and I don't think there's a ton of bad people on teams. But I do think there are people who've been burned out. I do think there are people who have been through things in their lives. They've been through things in their company. They're experiencing stuff somewhere else. For whatever reason, they just kind of got run down and cynical and negative, or whatever. Or they're just wired a little different than we are. And I don't to hate on those people. I want to win those people. They don't have to be like me. They don't have to have my energy. But I want those people on my team. I want to love those people. And if eventually they choose that they don't believe in the same things that I believe in, I want to make it really clear and obvious that they don't want to be on this team because we're not about that. You know what I'm saying? I want it to be very easy, obvious, that, ‘Hey I should not be on this team. Because this team is full of very positive people who have great energy and talk to people, not about them.’ And we solve problems. We don't complain. We don't get defensive. We're real. I recognize I'm imperfect and I'm vulnerable to show you that about me. I want to be on that kind of a team. And if there's somebody who doesn’t believe in that stuff, I want to make it really easy for them to say, ‘Look, I don't want to be on this team. I don't wanna live like you guys live. I don't want do what you guys do.’ And then I really hope that that person leaves us and goes and joins our competitor.”

This Video Is Blowing Up Approaching 150k+ Likes. Black Americans Warning To Donald Trump “Say President Trump, my President, the United States President. You know who I'm talking to. This can even go to Trump Jr. Hey. If you're gonna continue to do these debates in these states or in these little cities, and you want some proper protection, this is just a suggestion. This is just my opinion, bro. Because you have a lot of people out there that love you a lot. Right. And it's obvious that the CIA and all these, alphabet agencies don't like you. They don't want nothing to do with you. They don't wanna protect you. They don't want nothing. So here's my suggestion to you, mister Trump, mister president, even Trump Junior if you get this to your father. Go to the hood. Go get you about 30 to 40, maybe 50 of them ghetto ass motherf**kers. Excuse my French. I don't care if they white, black. Right? And on the day before, you give them mugs a particular color to wear to protect you, I promise you that won't ever happen again. Now listen to what I'm saying. If you decide to continue to do this and you go out here on these little stages and do all this other stuff, you go straight to the hood, man. Go get you folded to 50 of them cats standing around on the blocks on the corners, and you had them protect you. Because I guarantee you, that would have never happened. Because as paranoid as the cats in the hood are, that dude would have never got up on that roof. I promise you. Don't let these people protect you because they didn't want you out there in office in the first place. So you know what? Just a little bit of advice from my little brother from the hood. If you ever come to watch this day, you want somebody out there man with you to protect you, you, give me a call, man. Hit me up on TikTok, bro. I'll be more than happy to stand up there for you. You' dig. Just my opinion. God bless.”

🚨 Utah Valley University stonewalling and refusing to answer if the complete transformation of the landscape right where Charlie Kirk was sitting was scheduled prior to the assassination (it clearly wasn’t) Patrick Bet David show called and spoke to multiple departments at UVU about the secret campus construction “I don't believe the official narrative. You called the school. I called yesterday, I called and Amanda was with me, she recorded it. I called UVU and I called to the main desk and I said, Hey, I'm with such and such, I made up a thing and I said, I'm trying to find out if you guys, because the construction that's happening right now is unbelievable, it doesn't even look like what it is right now, okay? Doesn't make sense. I said, who do I talk to? You guys just had, and I apologize, you guys had the biggest assassination since JFK on your campus. Was there scheduled construction on the exact site where this happened? Can you comment on that? He goes, let me direct you to the right place. Sends me to maintenance or something like that. And there's a female that picks up and I go, hey, I'm so and so with media. I go, I'm just curious, did you guys have construction set up? I can't talk to you about that. I go, no, no, hold on one second. I don't need information about the shooting or nothing like that. Did you guys have scheduled maintenance? Because I would assume that if it's an assassination at this magnitude, you would leave the crime scene for potential bullets, potential, you know, fragments, other things that recreate in the scene. There's stuff in that ceiling, that overhead pat, that there, there's cameras, there's an opening that you could get in there. I'm like, how is this normal? Who made the decision? ‘I can't say anything. Let me give you the information to our, our VP of Strategic and Communications Management.’ I called her three times. I didn't want to say her name. I called three times. Nobody picked up and I left the message. I'm just trying to figure out with this type of magnitude and you know what's insane? For how many minutes after not one police officer, not one police officer went there and secured the crime scene. I've watched multiple videos. I've watched aftermath of videos.“ He goes over many more inconsistencies

"You know, I don't, I have not changed. I really make the movies for myself. I really, really do." Q: "For no one else, or just sort of like what you ultimately want to see in them?" "Yeah, I think so." Q: "As a fan yourself, too? "What I want to see, yeah, like as a, like, you only have the benchmark of yourself. Like, if you ever try and make a movie for someone other than yourself... I feel like you're going to blow it. "Because you can't, you don't know how anyone else is going to feel. So like, you know, you go, 'okay, do I find that emotionally real? Do I find that interesting? Is that the Krypton I want to go to? Is that the Superman I want to see fight?' "You know, those are the questions you ask yourself constantly. And I think once you, if you're constantly answering yes to that, then you'll end up the more, the film will end up being more interesting to you. "And ultimately, the film being interesting to you allows you to make the movie better because you're interested. "If you make it for someone else over a two-year period, you're just going to not give a sh*t at some point because you're just like, 'I don't care. This is not my movie. I don't care about this movie because I made it for someone else.'" Q: "I imagine that's a very hard thing to do in Hollywood, though, is to keep your vision clear with so much collaboration, with so much going on, with so many other people in the mix." "It really depends on the project. For instance, it was hard on Guardians, you know, where I feel like what ended up happening on that movie was people, we did end up, they did end up asking me like, 'this is for kids, right?' "And I got to honestly say that I knew it was for kids, but I didn't want to make it for kids. You know what I mean? And I think that's what happened to that movie. It did get like second guessed at the end and turned more into a movie for kids. "My point of view is I can think like a child if I want. I have that enthusiasm for movies and what I think is cool. You, the collective you, don't need to try and second guess me and go, 'this is what we think a kid would like.' "And then it's like, 'oh, a song' or whatever. Then you're just like, 'okay, whatever.'"
