David Spring was arrested in Whitehall for "violent disorder", quoted as chanting "Who the f***is Allah?" and given an 18 month sentence. However, private video footage of the protest, where he can easily be identified before & after the arrest, seems to tell a different story.

So Spring saw the police mistreating a woman and arresting both seemingly for no reason and then got angry, which I understand given the circumstances, I'd be enraged too. So they aren't telling the full truth at all.

This approach cannot be sustainable. This poor man will have pleaded guilty because he was shocked and scared. If Starmer hadn’t introduced this fast track system then he would not and would never have been sentenced to 18 months. This is utterly chilling and evil beyond belief. I pray the lawyers that are decent and honest will stop this tyranny soon.

He pled guilty, could appeal the sentence but not the charge.
