His answer was surprisingly simple. Second, he checks the charts of all these shortlisted stocks. Earlier on StockScans, this required saving them to a watchlist first. But now? These scans are for a specific watchlist I have of the strongest stocks—most of them are growth stocks. The only difference is the timeframe. Then I also scan for the Biggest 5-Day Gainers: $60 million dollar volume and up 25% in the past five days. For ADRs (foreign stocks), you have to scan for them separately in TC2000: $60 million in dollar volume and 3% ADR. So those are pretty much my main scans. Then I also scan for our Biggest Losers on one and two-year timeframes just to find the beaten-down names that could make big moves."

My Daily Routine on TradingView Screeners: Discovering Daily Swing Setups Through Multiple Screening, Watchlist Management, and Tightness Screening within Watchlist. Note: This 3-minute video is played at 2x normal speed from real-time. Upon uncovering the screening feature within the 'Watchlist' on TradingView v2 screener, I would like to demonstrate how you can optimize your daily screening routine, efficiently manage your watchlist, and identify potential setups from within it. 1. I utilize a set of 12 swing trading scans to transfer results into individual watchlists, along with two daily scans specifically designed to filter setups within all my watchlist. However, most of these scans are executed on a weekly basis due to the repetitive nature of daily results. But I will showcase the utilization of all screens, including each parameters. 2. Every screen result goes into their individual watchlist. eg. 'Strong Movers >10B Mcap', 'Strong Movers <10B Mcap', 'Fundamental (CANSLIM)', 'Post Earnings Continuation Base', 'Daily Tightness'. After many requests, here is my full stock scanning and daily process to swing trade momentum breakouts. I've been swing trading momentum stocks and averaged 100%+ returns per year, with $1 - Avg $ volume past 20 days is 20MM min - 8 >20>50 EMAs - Close above 20 EMA - Close > previous day high - CML indicator GREEN I just inverted these for shorts, and the same for ETFs long and short. My universe is US stocks + American depositary receipts. Once I get my scanning going, all I do is identify stocks breaking out according to my rules. I manually go through the scan results (shown in the video), identify potential setups, bring them onto TradingView, and decide if I want to enter. If you want to know more about my setup and how I swing trade momentum breakouts long and short to play with this scanning process, make sure to read my latest explanation in the tweet below. Once I identify with a manual review a setup that meets my criteria, I load it into TWS, make sure my position sizing is in check to risk 1% per trade from entry to stop, and enter. After 4:00 pm EST, the markets are closed, and I enter my stops and my BE alarms. That's it. I close my computer and come back the next day, and repeat the process, every day, every week, every month, every year. If you are NOT doing the same thing over and over in your process, you are doing random stuff. As you see, scanning is NOT the answer to a profitable strategy. Scanning is a process that derives directly from your EDGE. Not the other way around. Once you know what your edge is with extreme detail, you know how to find the stocks you want. Remember. All while trading ROUTINE: - I get to my computer at 3:30 pm EST, half an hour before the close - I start running my scans and see if there are any stocks that fit my strict criteria. - By 3:50 pm I already know if I have signals to take, - I move those symbols to TradingView to better manage my positions (I like the charting there) - enter trades in Interactive Brokers before 4pm, place my stops, BE alarms, and repeat the next day My whole process takes less than 30 min every day, and I take setups according to my system rules. --> SCANS: I run 3 separate scans, one BULLISH, BEARISH, and ETFs (TC2000 runs ETFs on a different list). Make sure to include ADRs with US Stocks on your equity scans. Here are the conditions (adapt for PCF): 1) price > $1 2) average dollar volume past 20 days: $20M 3) 8>20>50 EMAs 4) close >20 EMA 5) CML indicator = GREEN 6) close > yesterday's high 7) Sort results by ADR % Same for the BEARISH and ETF (on bear scans, I look for price> $6 As you see, scans are not the secret sauce to trade. What most people miss is that scanning is a process derived from your trading system rules!!! You first need to develop an edge, I developed my swing trading system after going through 6000 stocks over 3 decades, all market conditions, and derived hard rules to trade them (95% mechanical). Once you have your system in place, you naturally know what to scan for. Most people get it the other way around. System/EDGE first, scans second. Work on your edge, and you won't have to ask for a scan in your life 📈

I was up all night thinking about what today should have looked like for Kyle and the kids. The Father’s Day cards that were already made sitting in a drawer with no one to give them to. Trying to figure out how to navigate a day that should be filled with so much joy for them. He was the dad who never missed a chance to be silly, race the kids around the neighborhood, wrap them in his arms, or stay up a little longer for one more book, one more question, one more moment. Nothing made him prouder than being Brexton and Lennix’s dad. Watching these memories hurts more than I can explain, but they also remind me how lucky we were to have him. The AI trade is under pressure. Software is pulling back. Relative strength is starting to stand out. $GOOGL held up. $AAPL barely cracked. $C continues to show strength while growth stocks unwind. Here’s the watchlist and recording: $SPX: One of the ugliest days we've seen in months. Closed near the lows after breaking the 20-day. 7330-7290 is the first support zone. Below that opens 7273 and potentially 7150. $QQQ: Nearly 5% down on Friday. AI leadership is under pressure. Watching 695 support closely. $IWM: Back to 280 support. Watching whether this becomes a swing low or just another bounce that gets sold. $BTC: Still under pressure. Failed reclaim of the 200-day. No clear setup here. $SMH: Nearly 9% down Friday. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! So this has been a strange one…After days of prepping to “throw down” one of the great Chapman Family Thanksgiving Feasts Mary Beth is famous for, we both got very sick during the night (I’ll withhold details, but not fun whatsoever!) So while I’m laying there feeling very not Thanksgiving-y, I start to ponder this day through all the different lenses that people may be seeing it through, (dear friends who are facing their first Thanksgiving with an empty chair at the table where their son should’ve been to a family celebrating their first Thanksgiving with their new little boy and all the fun and joy that brings…all the sad, happy, broken stories that we are living in that don’t necessarily match the tv version of a Happy Thanksgiving. Well you know what happens when I ponder…songs happen! So I “rallied” and sat down today to share this one with you. The era of manually analyzing data will come to an end. AI can now do a lot of this automatically. It's a huge time saver. I do data analysis for a living, and I'm a huge fan of writing Jupyter notebooks to do it all, but it's now hard to justify manually writing code that you can generate in a few seconds. I still check everything manually, but breaking down datasets into tables and charts is now 10x easier than it's ever been. Here is a video where I'm using Retool. I load a dataset and generate a few charts as quickly as I can think. The speed at which we can go from one idea to a working solution is astonishing.
