lol. So first everything in maths needs proofs. You can’t just say exteriors angle bla bla without a proof. For a math learners it is always good to tell them why the shortcut exists and how to prove it. So it’s not bad for them to learn the adhoc way.

Ok na

You are wrong Before you can apply that your short cut, there must be certain conditions that must be stated in that question else, lecturers method is the only option to getting the correct answer Stop misleading kids

Ok sir

Something they will do Sum of opposite interior angle =exterior angle Simple 😂

U sef😂😂

I will not recommend him for any student, he is a danger to learning. There are different tactics for OBJ questions and theoretical questions, like I said he is terrible teacher.

Haba

During marking Each steps gets a point, to showing those working gain you points

E be like u been de this li e bf

You don’t expect a further Math student to just solve like you did

Ur right

I hate people who teach like this You ignored the principle and gave a shortcut for the simplest of questions Get an isosceles triangle and solve it with your shortcut na 😒

Haba

There are different theorem you know

You can absolutely find x without finding y first if you know "Exterior angle theorem" : The measure of an exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the measures of the two opposite interior angles. 80 + 50 = 130

How

Get your Google and browse the exterior angle. Answer this

No be wetin i teach u be this ooo

At least we can also find x, y, z

What you did here is only good when solve objectives questions

Ok boss

You’re right, but while you’ll score 5 for solving it this way, another student will get the full 10 marks for solving it the other way.

Omo na true oo

Science is not about memorising cliches or cram work, it’s about being able solve or deduce solutions from first principles. Oga teach the children how to show 'full working’ first before teaching them the cliches or short cuts.

Na lie oo na short cut we need

You are just making noise. There is a theorem that gives your answer. It is in senior class geometry. Sum of opposite interior angles is equal to the exterior angle. So this is not a discovery.

I don laff tire.

No stop oo

Na your teachers no teach you that one naw 😂

😂😂😂

But isn't it because it's isosceles?

Cutting corners is allowed. But d 1st step teaches so many info that’ll build muscle memory dt can b used for geometry later in their studies. -: total angle in a triangle must equals to 180 degrees -: sum of angle on straight line is 180 degrees. Notin like olden days teacher.

How they do in those days doesn't make it rubish. Thesame mentality of quickness and shortcut is what brought the world to where we are today.

Duh!! Sum angles in triangle is equal to 180

It makes sense 😂😂

Abi

That is a lie. No old lecturer or teacher would say such. It has been from inspection of geometric law that sum of opposite interior angles is equal to the exterior angle in any triangle. Stop making it looks like a new generation law

Ok sir

Complementary angles

U wan teach us 😄

😂 no my boss... we're saying the same thing in different English

Another calculation I currently find funny is probability topics where you calculate mutually exclusive events and independent event.

😂😂q

The olden days teachers taught all this so what is he talking about.

If the total mark is 2, you’ll get 1.

There are many ways to kill rat. Your method is correct doesn’t mean that others are wrong.

How can you tell me those angles are opposite to each other

Maybe it was just your teachers

😂😂😂 I learnt from this and followed you

Lmao. Every real maths student prefers the first approach

Those teachers really messed up mean😂😂

How does that theorem work with other types of angles?

Have u seen or used the marking scheme of WAEC before? Your mental sum is only good for OBJ and mathematics quiz competitions. In theory you must show your workings and prove it. So please don’t mislead your students. Allow them follow due process and diligence to get the full marks.

😂😂😂😂 bro can you be my math teacher abeg

That method would not work on all questions, you need to follow proper procedures, or you'll come out wrong 9 out of 10 times

“collect like terms”… when last did i hear this shit😭
