Dead Space has a first person mod and it's pretty awesome.

Can't check your health or stasis in first person unfortunately but you can swap back and forth between first and third person. Makes me really wish the remake had an official first person mode, all games are elevated by one.

The modder behind this says they want to make FPS mods for 2, 3 and the remake, so hopefully those come around eventually.

I’m normally a “first person is most immersive and best” type but it just ain’t the same without that beautiful hud

Isaac's suit has a little panel that sticks out of his chest, if there was an official first person mode I imagine you'd look down at it to get your hud info.

@aeriflame Reminds me of when during development of Alien Resurrection we tried a first person code change and then used it in the final game.
