@robertliefeld Invincible is an absolutely GOATed superhero show and is genuinely well-made in most respects. But absolutely nobody in their right mind would say BTAS isn’t better. BTAS is the show that allowed grittier superhero shows like this to exist in the first place.

I agree 100% Invincible goes for shock value , blood & gore. Batman The Animated Series doesn't try to do any of that. When It does get shocking it doesn't use any of that. The Baby Doll episode, the two face two parter where Harvey becomes two face & The clay face episode for example. Those episodes I mentioned are my favorite ones in the series. The shocking bits are usually done with silhouettes & shadows & the reveal of Harvey's face having chemical burs. Batman The Animated Series also has better animation than Invincible.

@robertliefeld Lmao, the slobbering of Invincible's knob is hilarious. All of these shows are better than Invincible. Everything about that show is horrendous, from the art style and animation, to the race swaps and story changes.

@robertliefeld To be fair, Batman the Animated series is still held as a gold standard to this day for storyboards, voice acting, music, use of color, and just general aesthetic. You'd be hard pressed to find many shows that can compete with how much Batman inspired animation across the globe.
