Protestants seem to fundamentally misunderstand why we want to debate them. We DO NOT grant that we have the same faith. For us, the Eucharist is our Salvation. We worship the Eucharist. When will meaningful action be taken to address the racism our own people face within our country? If we truly want to build a united, multi-ethnic and multi-religious nation, we cannot allow institutions/businesses to operate with impunity when their policies or practices are discriminatory. We must stop discriminating against our own citizens. Sri Lanka is known as one of the most hospitable nations - but apparently not to our own? It still pains me and a lot of young people that South Africa is not industrialised, yet we have all the means to do so. We continue to export over 70% of our minerals and create jobs in other countries while our own youth remain unemployed. Education is the tool we must use to industrialise properly. We need to invest in specialised schools; in agriculture where land allows, in energy, mining, and artisan training where minerals and infrastructure demand it. This is how we equip young people to build, innovate, and grow the economy. Let’s have this discussion! #ANCYLatWork

The Minister of Higher Education, Buti Manamela, agrees with the EFF submission that ALL TVET Colleges in South Africa should be FREE! We shall follow up on this until it is realised. Our logic is simply; if over 90% TVET College students are NSFAS funded, then why do we need middleman schemes? Money must move directly from National Treasury to Colleges, and our students must simply register without any financial blockages. On this we align with the Ballim Report!

[WATCH] REBUILDING OF POROUS BORDERS Our people are correct, we do have an issue of porous borders and government is addressing it. Trump declared that he will build a wall and that citizens will pay for it, we can’t afford to do that here in South Africa with peoples tax. When I was minister of police we went to Mozambique to address the issue of cars stolen in South Africa. When we would speak to the authorities on the other side they would inform us that there is nothing they could do to apprehend these criminals. That issue has been address by government. When South Africans were in exile they were in these countries legally and those government sheltering our struggle hero’s knew of their presence in their countries. Also they stayed in designated areas. There are many people who come to our country and many come to our country to contribute to the wealth of our country and its progress. Many contribute positively in our country. There are people in our country who have taken it upon themselves to do things which the vast majority do not condone and this must not paint South Africans as xenophobic. Indeed we do have a challenge of illegal immigration in South Africa and it’s not a problem unique to South Africa. There are many country’s affected by this. South Africa is a signatory of the Geneva Convention and we must deal with this challenge within the perimeters of the law. We can’t deal with it with hatred. That is why government has adopted a program of action to deal with this particular challenge which the President has made a public announcement. We have called for law enforcement and calmness and follow the government’s Action Plan on dealing with illegal immigration. We have made it very clear as the ANC, we cannot and should not be associated with anything that amounts to hate crimes. In this particular instance the majority of South Africans are people of Ubuntu and humanity. Because we too would not be free without the solidarity and assistance of country’s such as Mozambique in the fight against apartheid. Many people sacrificed such as Samora Machel the President of Mozambique and many combatants died here fighting against apartheid. #ANCinMozambique #ANCatWORK

I dont like what your ANC and Govt did last week. They cant just insult my president, Donald Trump, for attacking Iran. US companies are confident in the South African economy as seen by Walmart recently entering the South African market. South Africa is open for business and is a safe destination for global companies to do business. We reiterate that South Africa believes in a multipolar world which respects international law and international institutions that support a system of multilateralism.”
