I coached baseball from 8u all the way to college and my style was being a culture coach .., hug and love on them and still get the best out of them … those kids are now adults and still call me to this day ..white and black kids … ain’t got to demean to get the best of them

Totally agree. I had both types of coaches. It worked at times both ways but again some of my teammates left the sport.

These days, them kids are a lot softer. You cuss at them most of em cry fr 😂. Some you have to give that hard love to, but it’s not as harsh. But being professional… that’s a gift. Knowing how to talk to kids and parents and other coaches.
