Dear National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), can you kindly first shift the focus from Lubigi to this wetland close to lake victoria somewhere in Nkumba which is now a dumping site? This is not right at all. Something needs to be urgently. We need to collectively protect the environment....

We cannot allow the destruction of the vital Namugongo swamp under our watch. National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) must act decisively to stop this and ensure the swamp is fully reclaimed. The President Yoweri K Museveni stands firmly against such impunity. People’s properties and nearby roads are at great risk who will compensate them when they are destroyed? Let’s protect our environment, NEMA. Arrest the developer no one is above the law. If this is permitted, then those evicted from Lubigi should also be allowed back. Let’s not practice double standards.
