Dear Senator Henry Seriake Dickson Henry Seriake Dickson While I take my time to properly address your allusion of me not playing by the rules which I consider very disingenuous seeing how I followed the process and even when you had insisted there would be no primaries for senate...

That interview showed one thing very clearly: HE Seriake Dickson is a part and parcel of the old order. That order is not interested in a working Nigeria but a Nigeria that works for the elites I have always said I don't reckon with political parties and Comrade Aisha Yesufu cautioned and advised me in one meeting which led to me picking ADC membership. In ADC I was vindicated, over 90% of members seeking office are all for selfish reasons. Moved to NDC and saw worse. Now I am focused as usual by organizing like minds into a formidable group that needs nothing from politicians but will help push and promote HE Peter Obi candidacy

Well spoken @AishaYesufu. Watching that interview deepened my appreciation for @PeterObi. All I kept thinking was, what if Obi had been sitting in that chair instead? You would have heard nothing but "my elder brother, our leader." Obi would have poured undeserved honor and respect on Mr. Dickson and NDC without a second thought. No wonder he gives no shishi and yet the whole world stands still for him. What Mr. Dickson displayed instead was arrogance, pride, and relentless self promotion. But it is all good. We keep moving, especially now that we know this is not yet uhuru. Obi is so different that when people try to belittle him, they end up looking stupid instead. He is a living scriptural demonstration that God truly lifts the humble spirit. To every Obidient, Be at peace. keep your eyes on the ball. Stay focused. Let us get APC out of power and make Nigeria OK ✅. The beautiful future we are fighting for is possible. But we must keep our heads down and stay in the fight.

Absolutely @AishaYesufu. This is ALL you can see from the so-called leaders of political parties. Many of them remained in the registration level, they never contested elections nor are they interested in winning elections. NDC leader interview yesterday shows nothing but the ease with which he's irritated with contrary opinions, his preference for scoring cheap political points of "registering a political party successfully" rather than roll up his sleeve to create a working environment that appealed to all aspirants. With this posture, I can tell that his plan is not to win 2027 but to work towards 2031. What he failed to understand is that if NDC did not work hard to win 2027, the NDC will die a natural death like LP. PDP, ADC etc.

You’re de-marketing your Presidential candidate immediately after the primaries. We’re disappointed in you. You didn’t sound like a leader sir. Obi is humble before you doesn’t mean you are above him. Respect yourself sir. You’re not qualified than Mr Peter Obi to run for the President.

I love this ma'am "It looked as if you were insecure and in competition with your Presidential Candidate. Your first one on one interview after primaries and instead of selling your candidates and giving confidence to people on how set the road to winning the 2027 election was, you made it about yourself". I said it this morning that he sounded like someone that is not pleased to have Peter Obi in NDC and he didn't market his party Presidential flag bearer the way you'd expected him to. Some of us will continue observing.

Madam, don’t you think it is an insult to the intelligence of Nigerians to ask any reasonable person to vote for Peter Obi, considering what many perceive as his failures across key leadership metrics? If Obi cannot effectively manage a political party, how can he and his associates make any meaningful impact on Nigeria? Nigerians, this woman and her associates want you to experiment with your future. Peter Obi’s record and antecedents suggest that he lacks the leadership, strategic thinking, and people-management skills required to govern a complex country like Nigeria. A man who publicly stated that he runs away at the first sign of trouble may struggle to protect and advance the gains Nigeria has made over the past 25 years. Shine your eyes, people. The Yoruba have an adage: “Ti ẹni bá fẹ́ fún ẹni ní aṣọ, ti ọrùn ẹni ni a ń kọ́kọ́ wo.” (When someone wants to give you clothes, you first look at what they are wearing)

I thought you were “fire for fire.” When your fellow Obidients were attacking him unprovoked, neither you nor Peter Obi told them to sheath their swords. Now you’re angry because he’s putting you people in your place. You had four years to build a strong party, but you chased clout instead. If you’re not comfortable, feel free to waka jeje. No be by mouth. Actions dey speak.

Naija politics sweet die 😊 And this is just about handling the affairs of a small political party that is barely few months old. Now imagine what HE President Tinubu is facing daily, leading a complex country like Nigeria with so many divergent and often conflicting and competing demands from 230 million people and many vested interests from all 6 geopolitical zones. Yet some politicians are busy deceiving their followers they will fix Nigeria in 4 years when they could not fix their small party in 4 months.

Jordan Peterson: "If you can't fix your room, you can't fix your life" "Why should you even bother improving yourself? The answer is something like: so you don't suffer anymore stupidly than you have to. And maybe so others don't have to either. It's not some casual self-help doctrine. If you don't organize yourself properly, you'll pay for it. In a big way. And so will the people around you." Peterson continues: "You can say, 'Well, I don't care about that.' But that's actually not true, you do care about it. Because if you're in pain, you will care about it. It's very rare that you can find someone in excruciating pain who would say, 'Well, it would be no better if I was out of this.' Pain brings the idea that it would be better if it didn't exist along with it. It's incontrovertible." On how to start: "Look around for something that bothers you and see if you can fix it. You can do this in a room. Sit in your bedroom and think: 'If I wanted to spend ten minutes making this room better, what would I have to do?' You have to ask yourself that, it's a genuine question. And things will pop out. There's a stack of papers bugging you. Some rubbish behind your computer monitor you haven't attended to for six months. Cables tangled up." He explains why this matters: "If you were coming to see me for psychotherapy, the easiest thing would be to get you to organize your room. You think, is that psychotherapy? It depends on how you conceive the limits of your being. Start where you can start. If something announces itself as in need of repair that you could repair, fix it. Fix a hundred things like that, your life will be a lot different." On fixing what you repeat every day: "People tend to think of their daily routines as trivial. You get up, brush your teeth, have breakfast. Those probably constitute 50% of your life. People think, they're mundane, I don't need to pay attention to them. No, that's exactly wrong. The things you do every day are the most important things you do. Hands down. Just do the arithmetic." On staying within your competence: "Sometimes you don't know how to fix something. Imagine you're walking down the street and there's a guy who's alcoholic and schizophrenic and has been homeless for ten years. That's a problem. It would be good if you could fix it, but you haven't got a clue. You walk around that and go find something you could fix. Just because something announces itself as in need of repair doesn't mean it's you, right then and there, who should repair it. You have to have some humility. You don't walk up to a helicopter that isn't working and just start tinkering away." Peterson shares the key insight: "As soon as you give your mind a genuine aim, it'll reconfigure the world in keeping with that aim. That's actually how you see to begin with. You've all seen the video where you watch basketballs being tossed back and forth, and while you're doing that, a gorilla walks into the middle of the video and you don't see it. If you thought about that experiment for five years, that would be about the right amount of time to spend thinking about it." He explains what it reveals: "What it shows you is that you see what you aim at. If you can get one thing through your head, that would be a good one. You see what you aim at. One inference you might draw from that is: be careful what you aim at. What you aim at determines the way the world manifests itself to you. So if the world is manifesting itself in a very negative way, one thing to ask is: are you aiming at the right thing?"

Tucker Carlson is—to put it bluntly—transing himself into a leftist. Tucker announced that he is leaving the Republican Party. "I would not support the Republican Party. There's no chance I would support the Republican Party. I'm not going to support the Democratic Party. I don't know what I'm going to do. But at this point, you know, how could you support, how could I or any American voters support a political party that's not loyal to the United States? That puts the interests of a foreign country above those of its own citizens. Like, that's, that's, you know, it's not possible to vote for people like that." Here's the point that needs to be made about that statement by Tucker Carlson. He said he would not support the Republican Party, nor is he going to support the Democrat Party and that's where I would challenge everyone to pause our thinking for a moment. If you refuse to vote for the Republican candidate, then you are, in effect, joining the Democrats. This is not some abstention that gives you moral high ground, because you don't 100% agree with the Republicans, or 100% agree with the Democrats, so you can't in good conscience, cast your vote because it might feel like an implicit endorsement of things that you don't agree with. No, no, no. If you do not vote for a Republican, you are, in effect, giving your opponent, the Democrats, a vote. Surrendering your vote gives your opponent an increased chance of winning because we are in a binary system. Either their values will prevail, or our values will prevail. So, if you refuse to vote for a Republican because you have even a significant policy disagreement with that politician, then you are effectively voting for racism against white people because that's what the Democrats stand for—wokeness, DEI, and ESG. I have never met a politician, read about a politician, or studied a politician with whom I agree 100% of the time. Disagreeing with a president on one policy is not a reason to blow up the rest of our agenda and, effectively, join the enemy—even if you claim you're not joining the enemy. Again, you don't have to agree with a politician on every policy in order to cast your vote for him, support him, or to be part of this general political party apparatus through which he is able to challenge the communists and anti-American zealots who are trying to take us down. So, I'm sorry to see Tucker leave the Republican Party. That makes me sad.

"You can either produce excellence or you can avoid criticism. But you cannot do both of those. The reason that you don't have certain excellence that you want is because you are afraid of getting criticized. You are afraid of the judgment that comes with it. You are afraid of standing out. You are afraid of being alone. You are afraid of people looking at you. You are worried about what people think of you. There are 2 categories of things in this world: 1) Things that are up to you 2) Things that are not up to you Which category does your reputation sit in? Your reputation is not up to you. I'm the one who associates your reputation with something, not you. You just do things. What's up to you? How you act. Your decisions. Your actions. That is up to you. Your reputation is not up to you. Here's how I know that: You all have a reputation about me and it's not in my control. I get to say and do whatever I say and do up here. I am in control of saying it. I am in control of doing it. The moment words leave my lips, who has control over what is done with those words? You! You are in control of what you think of me. And there's no way everybody in this room is going to think the exact same thing about me. No way. When it comes to exceptional, what we've got to understand is you can spend your whole life trying to avoid criticism and earn reputation, and it still won't be in your control. We can waste a lot of time missing out on excellence we could have been producing if we were just simply LESS trying to engineer what we wanted other people to think about us."

Dear PTR, As a journalist, I have been on the ground for four days in Madurai Central constituency and I am reflecting on what the people of your constituency are saying. I am not here to endorse any candidate contesting in Madurai Central. If people are satisfied with your work, they will vote for you; if not, they will choose someone else. It is as simple as that. I have no agenda, nor any association or business alignment with the so-called individuals you referred to & I have never even met them. You are, in fact, one of the politicians I have interviewed the most since your entry into Tamil Nadu politics. If I am not mistaken, I was the first journalist to record a visual interview when you decided to contest from Madurai Central in 2016. I have written a lot about you in the past, acknowledging your work, not based on your claims, but on the voices of the people. Now that those voices are not in your favour, your response is to target and attempt to discredit journalists like me. The way you are speaking now is not just irresponsible, it is a direct attempt to intimidate and silence journalists who refuse to fall in line with your narrative. This crosses a clear line and cannot be ignored. As for my next pursuit, yes, it will remain journalism till my very last day. Instead of making baseless attacks, you would do better to focus on your campaign and address the concerns of your own constituency. I will continue to reflect the people’s voice and question the establishment & those in power, without fear or favour, as I always have. Dr P Thiaga Rajan (PTR)

As many of you would know by now I did not regain my seat in the Senate. My final day as a Senator for Queensland is Monday, 30 June. While this is a disappointing outcome, it was still a very good result given the short lead time and lack of mainstream media attention that the Party and I received. The efforts of everyone involved in our campaign have been inspiring and have laid the groundwork for a genuine grassroots political movement. While it will take a lot of work, I think we owe it to our children to keep fighting the prevailing political forces. We have been badly let down by our institutions and change is only going to come from the ground up. Over the next six months, I will set up state divisions and branches to grow the membership of People First with a view to running candidates again in the next federal election and State elections where resources permit. We already have over 2,000 members and aim to have more than 5,000 members by the start of 2028. People First has the best policies and, more importantly, the know-how to solve Australia’s problems. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered and supported the party. I appreciate your efforts and look forward to continuing the fight over the next three years. Congratulations to everyone who ran as a candidate in the election. Regardless of your political views, our democracy is only as good as the level of participation in it. If you would like to be part of the fight going forward you can join the party, donate, or register to volunteer at

Q: Why is company culture important? In the clip below, a16z cofounder Ben Horowitz argues that culture drives how people in your company behave on a daily basis—and particularly, how they behave when you’re not looking. Is that phone call so important I need to return it today or can it wait until tomorrow? Can I ask for a raise before my annual review? Is the quality of this document good enough or should I keep working on it? Do I have to be on time for that meeting? Should I stay at the Four Seasons or the Red Roof Inn? Should I go home at 5 p.m. or 8 p.m.? Should we discuss the color of this new product for five minutes or thirty hours? If I know something is badly broken in the company, should I say something? Whom should I tell? Is winning more important than ethics? None of these things are in your mission statement or OKRs, but they determine many important things for your company, such as how people experience your company, what you’re like to do business with, what your company is like to work at, etc. And as Ben describes, what drives the culture is all of the little behaviors and cues people take on: “this is what I have to do to succeed in this company.” Culture can feel abstract and secondary when you pit it against a concrete result that’s right in front of you, but it’s a strategic investment in the company doing things the right way when you are not looking. It’s the set of assumptions your employees use to resolve the problems they face every day. It’s how they behave when no one is looking. If you don’t methodically set your culture, then two-thirds of it will end up being accidental, and the rest will be a mistake. If you’re looking for a more in-depth guide to culture and how to build a great one, I’d recommend Ben’s book: What You Do Is Who You Are.

The Circle (2000, Panahi)/ Iran "Political movies have limited time. After that time, it doesn’t say anything anymore. But if the whole thing is said in an artistic way, then it doesn’t have an expiration date." --- Jafar Panahi Full Excerpt: "Interviewer: The subject matter of 'The Circle' (2000) is controversial. You mentioned that the film is still banned in Iran. In fact, when I was watching the film, I realized that through the characters, there’s a lot of fear about the system, the establishment, the police. The women can’t smoke; they have to wear the chador; they seem to want to hide every time. This is all very clear from watching the film. Did you deliberately want to make a statement about the political situation in Iran? Panahi: I have to tell you again that I’m not a political person. I don’t like political movies. But I take every opportunity to comment on the social issues. I talk about the current issues. To me it’s not important what is the reason for what has happened. Whether it’s political reasons or geographical reasons: these are not important—but the condition, the social issues. It is important to me to talk about the plight of humanity at that time. I don’t want to give a political view, or start a political war. I think that the artist should rise above this. Political movies have limited time. After that time, it doesn’t say anything anymore. But if the whole thing is said in an artistic way, then it doesn’t have an expiration date. So it doesn’t really serve a political purpose. Then it can be everlasting, for always, and it could be for anywhere. But I know that politically, with the film authorities, with any kind of film that has some political background in it, they would take issue with it. And for this reason, that is what the problem is. Interviewer: Still, your film makes a very strong statement about the problems that women face in Iran. Panahi: Yes, I agree with that. Interviewer: So that is humanitarian, of course, but it’s also political. Panahi: Yes, I agree with that. It has the elements. It all depends on how you look at it. If a person has only political views, then he will only see the political. But if you are a poet or an artist, then you see other things as well in the movie. If you are a socialist, you see political or economic or whatever different points of view. You mustn’t look at a film with only one point of view. If you want to see 'The Circle' (2000) as political, then it is one of the most political movies in Iran. By political, I mean partisan politics. But even the police, I didn’t want to show them as bad. In the first instance, you are afraid of the police. Because you are looking at them from the point of view of someone who is now in prison. And normally you see him in a long shot, but when they come nearer and you see them in a medium shot, you can see their human faces. Then it comes down to, “Do you need any help?” But he goes back again and becomes frightening. If I were being political, then I would always show the police as dangerous or bad persons." (Jafar Panahi's interview with Stephen Teo, Senses of Cinema, 2001)

My precious darlings, Tomorrow I have to do one of the hardest things I have ever done. I have to see one of the two people closest to my heart...twenty years old...dead. This is going to be the hardest thing I have faced since my father died. I am not saying who. I will not. They are one of the two I would protect with my life, and I still will. Their name stays with the four of you who already know, and it stays in my chest. I am sorry to be cryptic. I know that can feel unfinished. Unlike a lot of people, I do not put my whole life out there, and I am not about to start now. I am looking at tomorrow with a very certain kind of dread. My heart has been stable. That is the truth I can give you today. But there is no telling how it is going to react when I walk into that room. Julie will be with me. My surgeon is on call. Keep me close in your thoughts. If anything needs to be said after, my twin will update you. I love her so much. She has been wonderful with me through all of this. Between my heart ripping and this terrible murder, she has been an absolute rock. I do not know how I would have stood without her. She is no doubt, the greatest blessing in my life to date. I'd do anything for that girl. And I love all of you. You precious darlings. You do not even know how much you have been carrying me....your love, your prayers, the way you just stay. There will never be enough thank yous in the world from me to you. Just know that I love each of you, and I hold you close to my heart. Please hold me in yours tomorrow.
