In response to Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu’s ( Marcel Ciolacu) remarks about Kosovo's PM Albin Kurti , who expressed support for the Kosovo football players who refused to return to the field after being provoked by anti-Kosovo chants from Romanian fans, Ciolacu stated that it was unacceptable for Kurti to mix politics with sports. He accused Kurti of trying to exert political pressure on European football organizations in an attempt to secure an "illusionary" decision. However, I must say, Mr. Ciolacu, it is deeply unacceptable that, instead of condemning your own fans, who repeatedly provoke and display overt racism toward the Republic of Kosovo and Albanians at every match, you are shifting the blame. Rather than apologizing for this behavior, which has no place in sports, you have the audacity to claim that the Prime Minister of the country whose people were offended is the one at fault. We've seen anti-Semitism sweep the nation and it is very problematic that many people of the Jewish faith are barred by professors and fellow students from access to the classroom. Statement Condemning the Inhumane and Degrading Treatment of a Pregnant Zimbabwean Woman by Health Workers in South Africa We are deeply appalled and outraged by the circulating video of a heavily pregnant Zimbabwean woman in South Africa being ridiculed, dehumanised, and denied healthcare by nurses at a health institution in Pretoria. The conduct of these health professionals, who locked the woman out and callously told her to return to her country because no hospital would help her deliver her baby, is not only inhumane but also a gross violation of basic human rights and medical ethics. Australia's Race Discrimination Commissioner claims that the only way Australia can address racism in modern society, including racism among immigrant populations, is to accept that at its core, Australia is a racist country. This seems a bit rich coming from a person of colour earning a $400,000 salary, whose sole aim is to identify racism. From personal experience, having recently encountered strong instances of racial hatred due to my love for Australia, I can confirm it is largely limited to a small group of fringe extremists on both ends of the political spectrum. By far, Australia remains one of the most welcoming and tolerant countries in the world, offering all people an opportunity to pursue their dreams, regardless of race or circumstance. The frustrations people feel about mass immigration and the loss of cultural identity are very real, but the majority see those in leadership as the true culprits behind this engineered decline. Most of the problems we face can be traced back to these types of institutions, which have no interest in letting the country move forward without blaming people who were neither responsible for nor alive during historical acts of racism.

Incredible to see such crowds and a great display of courage in Letterkenny, County Donegal. These crowds stand as a symbol against the attempts of Donegal County Councillors to intimidate the people of Donegal from attending the protest by their smear campaign. We are protesting the way in which the deportation was done—sending them in a military aircraft and that too in handcuffs is an insult to India; it's an insult to the dignity of Indians. Not long ago, Columbia refused to accept people in these circumstances and officially protested when they were sent in handcuffs. They had demanded that the people be sent in civilian aircrafts and only then they'll accept them. And I think we have to do the same. They have every legal right to deport people who are illegally in their country, and if they are proven to be Indians, then we have an obligation to receive them. But not in this manner. The govt should take action so that such a thing is not repeated and demand an explanation for this atrocious behaviour. : Shashi Tharoor ji
