Defund police: the police don’t need to be responding to health calls, that includes mental health calls. If that’s “defunding” to take funding away from police for performing social services- and giving that money to orgs that actually provide the social function. Why not fund people who are better equipped- (like medical professionals and peers with lived experience who can actually help a person in mental health crisis)?!?!?
