Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud addressed concerns about young drivers last week and said at least half of the traffic tickets Dearborn PD issued last year were to drivers between 16-24 years old. “I recommend to all parents give your kid a bike until the age of 25.”

He was responding to a Fordson HS student who stepped up to the podium during public comment to voice her concerns about traffic safety issues, including reckless driving she’s observed among her peers.
