The original trailer for DEATH BECOMES HER (1992) perfectly sells the film without giving away its biggest surprises. They really don’t make trailers like this anymore.

I’m a girl 💃 Still one of the sharpest scenes ever made about vanity, youth, and the price people will pay to stop time. 🎥Death Becomes Her (1992)

To film this scene in "Death Becomes Her" (1992) where Meryl Streep's bre@ sts rise higher & become firmer after drinking the anti-aging potion, a pneumatic bra was built to create the effect. But it didn't seem realistic enough. They also tried various other methods but failed to get the desired effect. Finally, Meryl Streep's makeup man got behind her, lifted her bre@ sts into position while being hidden from the cameras. It worked to perfection. (Meryl Streep conference at the French Premiere of "Death Becomes Her" & IMDb) P.S: On this day, 34 years ago, Robert Zemeckis's "Death Becomes Her" (1992) premiered in New York City, USA.

Test footage from Death Becomes Her (1992) with Catherine Bell as Meryl Streep's body double. Unfortunately, they don't actually show how the visual effects work, just that they do in fact work.

Meryl Streep’s bre@ sts visibly lift after drinking the anti-aging potion in Death Becomes Her (1992), but it wasn’t CGI. A pneumatic bra looked too fake, so her makeup artist hid behind her and manually lifted them into position. It worked perfectly.

Death Becomes Her (1992) was the first film to use photo-realistic human skin software. Meryl Streep kept the potion vial glued to her lips in the scene to savor every last drop, while a pneumatic bra failed to look realistic, so her dresser pushed her into position off camera.

Her costume is very reminiscent of Lisle Von Rhuman in Death Becomes Her. 🎬 The Beauty.
