I grew up in Greece during the debt crisis. Canadians need to understand the toll this will take on human life. It’s devastating.

We can’t afford another year of the Liberal-NDP coalition. Canada is in a crisis while Justin Trudeau is on vacation.

1) Time bombs count downwards. 2) Your Debt to GDP Chart is wilfully misleading/incorrect. You’re comparing all government, corporate, and household debt against our GDP, to loosely convey that our Debt to GDP Ratio is over 300%. Our Debt to GDP Ratio is 68.3%, down from 73.3% last year. Second lowest in the G7, btw. No economist EVER includes household and corporate debt in that Ratio analysis because those segments are mostly heavily collateralized - tied to assets. If you want to include corporate and household debt in an analysis, you honestly need to show Assets v Debt, effectively a giant LTV snapshot. Mortgage debt (which is the lion share of household debt) for example, has very little connection to GDP, projected tax revenues, etc. 3) Are you suggesting major government intervention in our housing and debt markets? Canada has just moved into 2nd place out of 87 countries as being one of the best countries, worldwide, in which to live @PierrePoilievre. Just spare us your constant vitriol.

Canada desperately needs a new Prime Minister who will deal with our debt crisis and housing crisis. @PierrePoilievre is the only one who can get it done.

I lived thru the early 80s ~ in fact in exactly 1980 I bought a franchise of a then barely known RE company & didn't think my business could survive after Pierre Trudeau took an axe to Alberta's economy w the National Energy Program & sky-rocketing interest rates. Many of my clients begged to "give away" their homes for the price of the mortgage, losing 10s of 1000s in equity, but nobody was taking their offer. Others virtually gave away movable assets, like motor homes, boats, even cars, for 10 cents on the dollar just to pay the bills. And many of these fine folks did sink into depression, divorce & destitution. I heard of suicides among strangers until... One day when it hit close to home. A friend phoned to tell me her sister's husband had commit suicide leaving three kids and a wife, with no job & no prospects, behind. This is not a fiction story written in some book. It is real life... and Pierre #2 is bringing it to you, and me.

We are indeed headed for a sovereign debt crisis. Rather than cutting government spending and developing our resources, Trudeau is salivating at the idea of CBDC, UBI, and all of us becoming serfs
