I am retired military and I served with some of the best people and it wasn't about your race, religion, or the color of your skin. Both terms should never be used. Everyone deserves the same level of respect. I don't care about skin color cuz there is good and bad in all races. Racism has no place in society, and it never should have had a place in society. Unfortunately, racism is an ugly part of our history. We need to do better to end it and call out the bullshit when we see it. While some people want to spend their time fueling the racism fire I'll spend my time enjoying them good ole southern backyard BBQ's, enjoying food from different cultures, having great conversations with great people and breaking down barriers.

A former neighbor, a WWII vet who was on 5 major invasions (1 being on Saipan) referred to a company of black soldiers in reserve. Sometime into the battle, they were called up. The company refused orders, fled upon hearing the battle. Now known as the "Buzz Out Boogie."
