Modern leftists have done more to damage left leaning ideology than the far right ever did.

My post history is full of me retelling this same story. Before March of 2020, I was a leftist, name the issue I was there, but I didn't hate Republicans, I didn't understand them. I was watching a Young Turks stream getting news on covid and I began questioning countries that were locking down and I found myself being accused of being a MAGA Republican from that one issue alone which forced me out of progressive circles leaving me politically homeless. After my exile from my progressive online circle, I finally sought out partisan right wingers to learn more and now I'm here.

I was thinking about it today. When leftists “cancel” someone, they think that person just goes away. End of career, end of existence. No. They are pushed towards the alt-right. You didn’t eliminate a threat. You created your own villain.

The Left: "Men are toxic and violent and the source of all the world's problems." The right: "We're playing Creed at full volume in the garage away from those people to make this $2k car faster than it has any right to be."

I never thought there would be a day when 'The Left' were not the open-minded ones but here we are. But the thing is they think they are. They think being open-minded is having an exact set of approved opinions, and it's anyone who questions them that is closed-minded. (BIGOTS!)

I was in the middle of the road until about 2008. I noticed a shift from general large issues in the Democrat party to identity politics, but the Republican party stayed with the larger issues that people faced everyday. I haven't voted for a Democrat since the early 2000's.

Don't forget a REALLY important point. Who made the Alt-Right pipeline? The Left. Who made the Alt-Left pipeline? Also the Left. The Left is the party of identity politics and tribalism. The Right is the party of individualism and true diversity. Strip away the average Leftist's labels and they might as well just be identical clones of one another. True diversity isn't sex, gender, or race. Take all those away, and if they all have the same beliefs and opinions, they might as well be simplistic prefab variant NPCs wearing a different skin. It is variable thoughts and ideas that make for true diversity. And only when those thoughts and ideas are achieved naturally, not forced. On the Right side you get people from all walks of life, religious beliefs, and political positions, and somehow we aren't tearing each other's throats out like the Left does if someone dares leave their side. If you think I am wrong, why do you think the Left has so much unity, saying the same things, singing the same songs, marching in step with one another? Disrupt that organized program and watch them kick you out of the group for daring to betray the hive. Go to a right-leaning group and you will find more people who are the "live and let live" types. You might not be praised for anything, but you will generally be accepted. Even if you disagree or argue, so long as you are not purposefully adversarial, you will find more acceptance there. People can claim I am wrong or argue all they want. I truly believe this to be true based on my own lived experiences. I am not right-wing or alt-right myself, but I definitely lean right from the center, because of the way I am treated and because I believe in order over chaos.
