Keeping our kids from being addicted to their phones and social media should be part of the MAHA agenda. When my generation grew up, it was strange to spend all day inside staring at screens. Today it’s become odd for children to spend all day outside — riding bikes, climbing trees, exploring, acting like kids. Social media addiction has led to declines in physical health, increased anxiety and depression, weaker academic outcomes, and worse social cohesion. I’m grateful to work with Secretary Kennedy to put the next generation first.
