Dedicated Freight Corridor Operation Control Centre Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh 🇮🇳

The EDFC, costing about ₹51,000 crores with support from the World Bank, is designed to improve freight transport in India. The Prayagraj Operation Control Centre (OCC) oversees this 1,856 km corridor, which helps free up passenger train lines and makes moving goods more efficient across states. The OCC uses advanced technology to monitor trains in real time with minimal human input, supporting India’s economic growth and the Make in India program. Together with the WDFC, the EDFC is part of India’s plan to move more goods by rail instead of road, cutting emissions.
