Hello friends, I have the latest update & data as requested, this is the most detailed breakdown lap by lap at every checkpoint which i just received from the technical team. After cross referencing this with my I watch data, there clearly was a mistake. And i take full responsibility for it. This was an honest mistake on my part. Despite double-checking the problem during the race & notifying the technical team, still as a participant i should have been more responsible. I unreservedly apologise to the triathlon community. Yes i am newbie & i look forward to improving. After speaking to the organisers & the technical rep, it is best that my status be DNF. They also acknowledged that this was an honest mistake. I promise to be a lot more careful next time & will work closely with the community to learn & be better as this is a sport i truly love.

In the next 2-3 years, the skills you need to build an ETL process will fundamentally differ from anything we've done in the last decade. The EXTRACT and LOAD steps of an ETL pipeline have been solved forever. They are boring, and I suspect they will continue to be boring. But the TRANSFORM step is where the money is at (and where innovation will continue happening!) An ETL pipeline that can use Large Language Models effectively to transform data is a whole new ballgame. I recorded a video to talk about this. And more importantly, I talk about how you can build ETL pipelines to transform UNSTRUCTURED data (the kind of data that's really hard to handle).

If I learned anything over 5 years as a reporter, it’s this: the best research is firsthand. That’s why we’re doing a review of the latest Solana phone for Bitwise There's a lot of skepticism about Seeker. Some doubt it will work, or that the crypto elements will be helpful. They say it'll be a nice paperweight. Why are we doing this? There's two ways to research things in crypto. You can dig into the onchain data and talk to the experts. Or you can just do it. You can trade on hyperliquid. You can loop for yield. You can travel to Argentina and try to use stablecoins to pay for things. We do a lot of the traditional research at Bitwise, but sometimes, you gotta get your hands dirty. That's what I'm doing with this phone.

MCP is mind-blowing. Here is a genius setup that will earn you a promotion with your manager. I have multiple data sources: data in S3, MySQL, and local files. Using Spice (an open-source project), I can co-locate all of that data behind a single SQL endpoint and augment it using MCP. Before, accessing data was slow, and I had to make multiple requests to get anything. After using Spice, I can query the data much faster (since it's mirrored locally), and I don't have to worry about where the data is coming from. Spice acts as an MCP server, so I can connect to it from my IDE or the Claude Desktop app and have access to all the data. But even more cool than that: Spice also acts as an MCP client, so it can connect to other MCP servers. This is where things get really interesting! Watch the video. I'm querying multiple data sources from my IDE and using the Google Maps MCP server for driving directions.

DIGITAL TWIN UPDATE: The Unreal Engine digital twin project is CANCELLED! WE ARE OPEN SOURCING THE WORK!!!!!!! Instead, I'm building an end-to-end land management platform I'm calling Mazzap because it's an app and it's a map and also I'm Mr. Mazza. I'm also not calling a digital twin anymore; I'm calling it a V.E.I.L. which stands for Virtually Embodied Intelligent Land which serves the dual purpose of sounding way cooler and also conveys the long-term aims of the prject way better. With Mazzap anyone can easily generate a veil with nothing but publicly available data (and some photogrammetry objects if you so choose). Everything is perfectly georefrenced and you can right-click anywhere on your veil to get coordinates you can plug into google maps yourself. The next step for this is going to be building a survey companion mobile app so you can get field data yourself complete with attribute tables to drop in to get even HIGHER fidelity data than USGS. My stretch goal is using something like SAM 3D (but better) to generate georefrenced 3d tree assets based on the real trees on your land (which will eventually lead to growth and fruiting simulators based on your soil and hydrology data). Then again maybe that's not the next step; maybe the next step is plumbing in IoT devices so you can view assets in real time on your land. GPS trackers on the sheep, or maybe data from your solar controller. Or maybe it's up to you, because it's completely open source and it has an agents markdown file ready for your own coding agent to read and adapt for your purposes (did I mention this is vibecloded slop? sowwyyyy) Watch demo below and see how you can go from zero to beautifully rendered 3d map of your property in less than 15 minutes! AI can not only build SaaS apps, it can now recreate your favourite one and port all your data over too! In <5 minutes Proxy from @convergence_ai_ was able to log in to my to-do list app, understand the user interface and content, provide a complete breakdown of how the the app worked and then copy this into which rebuilt the app, with all my data ready to go. Absolutely transformational for small businesses who can't afford expensive CRMs, or for anyone locked into old systems or record. There is no moat! (video sped up 4x)

Back in AZ getting the work in… Last time I was here, I still had my day job. That day was full of the things I love most. I trained my son and a group of DBs, got my own work in—Dilly Dallies and all—and made a Target run for a creator light so I’d have a setup for NFL Live with my favorite people. one of my favorite aspects of this new work is that it is generative, not based on an arbitrary random number, but based on the chaos of real life. the physical sculpture is constantly pulling in news and real-time data from all over the world and the NFT is updated daily as well with this hectic collage of information overload... i believe in the future more work will be dynamic like this allowing us to reimagine real-time data in new ways based on different events happening in the world...

Final Fantasy VII Revelation! My brain is still buffering after all this. I was so emotional. I try and not yell so much so chat can hear the trailer but trust me I was internally screaming. I love Final Fantasy with all my heart. It’s been a part of my life for 35+ years and it’s never faded from my heart. My Twitch was lagging so I just shared snippets of my reaction.
