And this week, as gold broke 4,000 dollars, China's biggest banks moved to push ordinary Chinese out of leveraged gold trading, with at least one warning it will liquidate any position not closed by month-end. Both are true at once, and together they explain what this crash really is. Start with what is being banned, because the words matter. ICBC and a string of other banks are shutting down retail trading in what the Chinese themselves call paper gold, the margined, leveraged contracts where you bet on the price without ever owning a bar. Some banks lifted the margin requirement to 140 percent to choke the leverage off before closing the products outright. Physical gold, meanwhile, stays wide open. It's a snowy morning at the airport, with the forecast calling for up to 10 cm of snow, mainly falling over the next few hours before tapering off to light flurries this afternoon. Our crews at the Airfield Maintenance Facility are ready to plow runways, taxiways and apron areas to keep them safe for operations, while teams at the Central Deicing Facility are gearing up to deice aircraft. It’s expected to be a busy morning, with all departing flights heading to the facility for a spray before takeoff. A traffic management initiative is in place to help regulate the flow of departing aircraft. Travellers are encouraged to check their flight status before coming to the airport.

I told everyone Elizabeth Warren was 100% in bed with the Banks when I debated her with Jon Keller as moderator. She refused to ask Jamie Dimon a single question about his bank J.P. Morgan financing Epstein - the largest child-sex trafficking operation in American history. As for crypto, of course there are lots of junk projects and scams within the industry - that’s why we needed sensible regulations. ATM machines have been used for bad things like drug buys - but we don’t ban the technology. In fact, the banks are the biggest crooks in the world. JPMorgan Chase has been fined over $40B dollars for illicit activity NOT including Epstein. Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc., all have engaged in criminal enterprises, including money laundering for some of the worst bad guys on the planet. Unlike the banks, Stablecoins require 100% reserves - which is far more safe than the fractional banking system Warren and Ed Markey love to protect. When Warren says that the economy will crash does she mean similar to the way the banks caused the Great Financial Crisis in 2008 and then people like her and Ed Markey supported bailing those same banks out with taxpayer dollars? Based on preliminary data, there have been around 50 March high temperature records broken since March 17 and more than 150 daily high temperature records broken. There are four World Central Kitchen warehouses in Jordan filled with food for the people of Gaza….rice, oil, flour, vegetables…over 100 trucks loaded and ready to arrive to the border crossing in less than an hour. We have hundreds more trucks ready to bring cooking supplies and more food, but still the government of Israel is not permitting us to enter with aid. We have been cooking and feeding in Gaza at a huge scale for more than 19 months. More than 130 million meals! For months, Israel has not allowed any aid to enter…we have been forced to shut down of our community kitchens and bakeries. We have no food left…but we are ready at any moment to start cooking again. Many innocent families are desperate to eat. Let us feed the people of Gaza!

July has been the busiest month of my life. Ten U-Haul's later, and I can finally say it's the end of an era. For the last six years, I "solo-preneured" and turned this 1,100 sq ft house into a multi-million dollar business. Hundreds of thousands of toys shipped and sold to customers all over the world. Optimal setup? Absolutely not. Do I regret a thing? Absolutely not. I would never encourage anyone to sacrifice their dining table to make space for inventory. To use Lowe's boxes as a TV stand. To convert a bath tub into storage space for action figures. But that has been a reality of mine for several years. One more U-Haul to go, and then it's time to take this 'little online business thing' to the next level.

Chinese President Xi Jinping gets a grand sendoff at the airport in Moscow, Russia. As he told Putin, "Changes unseen in a century are happening." Xi was referring to the rise and fall of Empires. Over the last 500 years, empires have switched roles every 100 years or so. Ray Dalio's famous chart (in the next tweet) shows the evolution of global empires -- Dutch, Spanish, French, British etc. The American Empire will lose its hegemony soon -- most likely before the end of this decade. However, unlike the examples mentioned before, we will have a multipolar world this time. China will be the #1 economy, but the US will be a close #2. Of course, #1 economy will also eventually mean #1 in many other areas -- technology, finance, geopolitical influence, military etc. Can the West let this transformation happen without WW3?
