Cole interview a lot… He talked about how making The Fall-Off brought him back to feeling like he is his own favorite rapper. “There was a feeling of gratitude of ‘damn, I made it back to a point after all of these years where I was my favorite rapper” because there was a stretch where I can’t necessarily say that.” “The whole mission of The Fall-Off was to become again a rapper that I wanna hear. To make the music that I wanna hear. To write the verses that I wanna hear. To make the album that I wanna hear.” “Even on theway here, I had an hour drive here and I’m playin the album. 🦊 When I was a trainee at our company, my life was pretty much like being the model student at school. I was the exemplary trainee! I hardly ever got criticized, and doing an insane number of push-ups was just an everyday thing for me～ 🐬 The only scoldings you got were because you had to translate them to me. 🦊 The most troublesome student. 💢 Whenever the teacher wanted to scold him— 🐬 I couldn’t understand. 🦊 So I had to translate everything for him.

He said you’re like a man. Today as I walked over to the mirror to take some progress pictures, a young guy was taking pictures too. I’ve seen him around a few times, so I tried to make conversation. I jokingly said, “Trying to catch up to me?” Apparently that was the wrong thing to say, because his response was, “You’re like a man.” I laughed it off, but I really wanted to sucker him in the eye. As I looked at myself in the mirror, I thought, how could I compare to a man? Why would a man be so offended by my words? But these are the sorts of things I’m constantly battling while trying to become the best version of myself.

When I was maybe in middle school, around the seventh grade, the teacher asked us to write a story about love and the vibe was like…umm…it wasn’t a book to an extent, but it was like ten to twenty pages though. Was so hard, really hard.
