Unfortunately they don’t show much outside the top 10 on the leaderboard…and maybe Rory before he misses the cut

The rough at Oakmont takes months to grow, but one bad swing to find.

Oakmont is using a 150-person grounds crew to make this year’s U.S. Open the hardest ever. They cut the rough to 5 inches in stages so that the individual blades stand up rather than lying over. In other words, golf balls will sink beneath the surface. They want carnage.

Never seen so many players carrying around GCQuad at a tournament like they are this week at US Open. Seems they’re all using one from tee, bunkers, rough, inside 150, trying to figure out Oakmont. Here’s Finau on the 507 yard, par-4, No. 15 with a zoom in on his numbers. 💯💪
