De-escalation had nothing to do with this. This was going to end up the way it ended up, because none of these men wanted it to end any other way.

Yeah, that train was rolling hard right from the start. One MIGHT survive, the other- NOPE. The big guy in the white shirt thought he had the upper hand while the shorter guy was ALL BUSINESS, keeping that handgun pretty tight and reacting in the fire of the moment.
