Defence needs $4.1bn for missiles? ✅ Defence needs $368bn for subs? ✅ Defence needs public housing? ✅ Increase JobSeeker, lift people out of poverty? ❌ Pay rise for care workers? ❌ Building new public housing? ❌ It doesn't make sense to us either.

@HugePossum This who runs Australia

Feel free to leave for the likes of North Korea or China which is a better fit to your politics!

This is one of my favourite parody accounts. 😂

Oh yes, and let's spend $5000 per hr for US military men to teach us how to win a war, when America has NEVER won a war and always leave a massive mess wherever they go. Waste of our money. Spend it where it's needed, at home.

@MoarToast & some years ago there were State Housing Commissions (names differed state by state) & what happened? Long gone, housing stock sold off. So here we go, far too many rapacious landlords intent on profiteering. Government throws hands up Grew up in Housing Commission

This is true. BUT We can afford this👇

Seems their priorities have shifted from their base since they got into office.

@maxitaxi3333 Who is in charge? Who is setting this execrable and unAustralian agenda, huh? 😡

What if the real issue is about revenue. And an unwillingness yet to take on the financial shonks, rorts and ripoffs that would be needed to tackle poverty in all its guises.

Nice work @RDNS_TAI The only child of mine that has housing security is my daughter. She was in defence, but let her hubby pursue his navy career as day care in Sydney was unaffordable. Her kids will never afford rent in Sydney unless they join the armed forces.
