I would have found it to be a challenging exercise to maintain proper objectivity when responding to the young man. It probably could be pointed out that if a person in that position implements incorrect policy based on medical misinformation it could have a significant negative impact on public health. Moreover if done in a way that presents the appearance of scientific misconduct then it erodes public trust, a critical prerequisite to effectively performing the duties of such a leadership role. But I suspect that a word salad like that would not have much impact 🥲
