I mean the first 8 seconds terrified me lmao

But when the coach showed what he’d do, he didn’t control the “control arm” either… he literally wrapped up the knife hand… he said one thing then did another no?? He controlled the knife hand in HIS demo… but said that was wrong when demoing on the guy. Confused.

That's already too close. If the guy is already holding you, you're dead. It's a universal self‑defense rule: on the street, don't let yourself be held down. You should have acted earlier either by running away or by throwing a sucker punch.

Nothing works in Weapon v/s Bare hand fight. Period. You might avoid several attempts but single stab is enough to drain your blood, you will dent, get slow & attacker would use this opportunity to finish the job

Every knife fight Ive seen, the knife wins. Every time. The only way to beat a knife fight is to gtfo.

Self-defense against a knife is complete bullshit. It's not for nothing that the police have a 7-meter rule. This is the minimum distance when you need to open fire on the criminal with a knife. Or it's better to just run away
