🚨FED STAFF SAY STABLECOINS SIT OUTSIDE THE U.S. MONEY SUPPLY! A Sept. 4 FEDS Note from Federal Reserve researchers says tokenized bank deposits already sit in M1 or M2, and tokenized money market funds are already in M2. Payment stablecoins are not counted in any official aggregate. The authors said those tokens look enough like money that the Fed may eventually have to decide how to include them without counting the same dollar twice.
