“DEI logically does not work without crossing that first principle of the definition of racism.” Warren Smith says objective reasoning gives us a way to cut through ideology and determine whether an argument actually holds up. “If racism is treating people differently based on the color of their skin,...

I sat down with @WTSmith17 to discuss how logical reasoning can expose misinformation, propaganda, and powerful narratives in real time. We also explore the Socratic method, postmodernism, social contagion, objective truth, and the ideas behind his book, A Mind of Your Own.

To be straight up fair, why wouldn't you correct a racism issue in our society when you have direct evidence of people being harmed, especially in employment? This is why we have 'desparate impact' measurements & quotas. Denying racism & seeing its effect is dishonestly corrupt !

Multiple Civil Rights Acts 60 years ago corrected all this. It has been illegal to descriminate since then in America. We’ve also had numerous Supreme Court cases enforcing it. So if you can find classical descrimination over minorities, then you should sue! But notice, nobody does today. Why? There is no racism left. The fact is, EEOC director has said it is illegal to consider race in hiring, but the society through DEI is doing it anyway. This is why many orgs are suing companies over reverse descrimination today. That is the only true social injustice left.

Warren Smith is such a great educator. Strange institution that chucked him out.

This line of logical reasoning is distinctly masculine. Most women won't buy it because it doesn't feel right...

DEI is a prima facie example of both institutional racism and sexism.

The argument where you stated: lowering standards, using airline pilots as an example, was weak because it was not fully qualified. Airlines should hire the best pilots & have a minimum standard. Race based hiring wouldn't mean lower minimum, but the best available aren't hired.

Warren Smith says the jurors in the Lindsey Clancy case overlooked a glaring logical flaw. The defense argued Clancy had no agency over her actions. But Smith says their own expert’s explanation undermined that very argument. “There was one witness that was brought in that was claimed to be the foremost expert who has dealt with more of these cases than anyone, brought by her lawyer.” “Something jumped out to me that seems like a logical contradiction.” “He claimed that the psychosis caused her to have an out-of-body experience where she had no agency, because agency is the question here.” “If she had agency, she would be responsible.” “A moment later, he goes on to explain literally her logical chain.” “Her reasoning, her rationale was that it would be better to take the kids with her into the afterlife.” “It would be more cruel to leave them behind.” “So we’re clearly seeing a rationalization, which to me directly contradicts the first claim.” “That does not make sense to me.” Smith says we already apply this logic when determining responsibility in cases involving alcohol. “Someone drinks alcohol, we still hold them responsible even though they could be blackout drunk and literally not remember it.” “But we still hold them responsible because there is this, well, you chose to drink.” “And what’s the alternative legally if we stop holding people responsible because they were blackout drunk?” “I don’t know why we’re not applying the same reasoning in this case.” Warren Smith
