Probably a $50mil error!! Was painful to watch each of the rigs snap, one by one. Each of those masts are custom made. For a much smaller sailboat, replacing a 50 foot mast was over $160k. Those rigs are much much taller. So much more expensive. Plus the rigging.....

As it's moving backwards & no sails are unfurled, I'm guessing engine failue. Though, the captain should have dropped an anchor or 2 to try to halt the progress. It seems to be moving at a good clip, so I'm thinking the engine failure (if that's what it was) didn't just happen.
