Short duration discussion, long duration discussion, in the Business Advisory Committee, you decide how much time you want to take. You can take 12 hours, you can take 18 hours. In the Rajya Sabha, as the leader of the house, I have always believed that we are ready for discussion for whatever number of hours the opposition decides. The government is ready for discussion and the opposition should keep this in mind and should not change the goal post. We should think about how we can solve this problem and the Parliament is the most appropriate forum where we can think about it deeply. The opposition should decide the duration and every aspect should be discussed in it and we should come up with a concrete policy. Children are ours, yours, and the future of the country. It is our responsibility to care for the future of the country. This responsibility includes the government as well as the opposition. Therefore, I urge the opposition to fulfill its responsibility, and we should all work together to address this issue and move forward toward a lasting solution."

The INDIA Opposition bloc wants to have a constructive debate with the Government on the NEET exam and the prevailing paper leak issue. It is unfortunate that we weren’t allowed to do so in Parliament today. This is a serious concern that is causing anxiety to lakhs of families across India. We urge the Prime Minister to debate on this issue and give the students the respect they deserve.

Raised the issue in the Rajya Sabha today regarding the Delhi Police's attempt to enter AKG Bhavan and arrest Aishe (ঐশী) former JNU Students' Union President, SFI leader, and one of the prominent faces of the Jantar Mantar protests. I also demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah respond to this matter. All opposition parties came forward in support in the House, and the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Sh. Mallikarjun Kharge, and entire opposition also spoke in solidarity. Ultimately, due to the strong protest by the opposition, the Rajya Sabha Chairman was forced to adjourn the proceedings #aisheghosh #jantarmantarprotest

In terms of business, it was a very successful session; we passed a total of 12 bills. However, from the perspective of debate and discussion, it was not as successful. In the Lok Sabha, we achieved only 19% productivity relative to the total time allotted. In the Rajya Sabha, productivity stood at 39%; while opposition parties created a ruckus and occasionally staged walkouts, the majority NDA parties and MPs from some opposition parties participated in the debates and discussions..." He adds, "Only one bill, addressing the issue of paper leaks and unfair means in examinations, underwent a full discussion in the Lok Sabha... The very people the public elected and sent to Delhi for deliberations want to take the issue elsewhere instead. Disrupting House proceedings and refusing to participate in discussions on bills, the entire nation is watching this. As for the country placing its trust in Rahul Gandhi, that is a far-fetched notion. Even his own party has no faith or confidence in his words." He adds, "Look at the TMC, a party within the opposition that has now been rendered 'nirmool' (uprooted/decimated). They sold 40,000 jobs in West Bengal. They turned 'zeros' into 'heroes' to hand out jobs and even sold employment to people from Bangladesh. And now, these are the people who come forward to raise issues regarding exam papers?
