It's a tragedy that sportsman have to face in India, no scholarship, no afterlife (in sports) income, pension only if you are employed and that too at a national level. You cannot make sport as a full time career here.

Meet Jitendrasingh Rathod, a security guard at SVNIT College, Surat. For years, he has quietly collected photos of Indian soldiers and martyrs, preserving their memories with discipline, pride, and deep respect, without ever seeking recognition. A Delta businessman, Mr Emmanuel Mouka, has petitioned the Inspector General of police to investigate his security guard over fears of a conspiracy spanning from attacks in 2022 where similar incidents occurred which he reported to the police but was instead detained. Mr Mouka, who lives in Delta State, stated in the petition written by his solicitors, Hon.Peter Mrakpor SAN, the honorable former Attorney General of Delta State, that he installed security cameras to ensure the security of lives and properties within his premises in Otite, Sapele, Delta State. He added that he also employed a security personnel from a security company.
