DEI puts people lives in danger especially in jobs like the airline

There is no such thing as a "DEI" airline pilot. ALL airline pilots must meet the same hiring requirements, and that's not open to debate. There are minimum hour requirements and certificates before you're allowed to apply. (and I am HUGELY against DEI but it doesn't apply here).

Some argue that airlines are lowering standards for pilots by reducing minimum required flight hours or experience levels to address a growing pilot shortage, which could potentially compromise safety by hiring less experienced pilots, though many maintain that the core safety standards set by the FAA remain in place and are not being lowered; the debate centers around whether airlines are lowering their own internal hiring requirements to attract more pilots, not necessarily the regulatory standards themselves.
