This is really disappointing, especially considering that this is a university student who should be focused on building a better future. Allegedly stealing seven phones is not something to take lightly, and it shows how quickly desperation, greed or bad influence can push someone into serious trouble. At the same time, we should allow the proper authorities to investigate and establish the facts before passing final judgment. If found guilty, the appropriate legal consequences should follow, while the incident should also serve as a serious warning to other students that whatever challenges they are facing, stealing is never the solution. Education should be about building character and integrity, not just obtaining a certificate.
