In stead of voting for parties, people should be able to vote for ideas, on all important ethical issues

Decentralize. Local communities should have full power over their domain, rather than being forced into stuff by the bigger democracy.

Direct democracy for parliament and EU commission president, with the Estonian digital system of voting through your phone or online, all votes can be verified with a potential blockchain smart contract, but it should not cost the voter anything. what do you think @Fidias0 ?

Don’t need a new political system. Need hardcoded constitutional level laws on freedom of speech and privacy.

Democracy isn’t failing. Those who were elected to represent us are failing democracy. Democracy is about representation. Representation of those who elected you. Not representation of those who pay, those who pray, those who slay. Don’t forget who elected you and democracy will be just fine.

Democracy is not failing, it has not been tried yet. What we see in EU is a perfect example of pseudo-democracy. They talk about democracy, diversity and transparency. But nobody has voted for UVdL, she rages against opinions that differ from her own (so much for embracing diversity) and she is stubbornly intransparent when it comes to her own wheeling and dealing in the covid years. What a joke. 🤡 As for what's next. I think we will eventually see more than a few of the ideas that are described as "network state" per @balajis So, decentralized and much more blockchain based. You chose your own "tribe". The EU is still moving in the opposite direction, so is likely to become a global laggard.

@Fidias0 therye is a lot we can learn from how projects are governed on the Blockchain. For the first time in history we are seeing rapid prototyping of democratic governance systems being built, failing, iterating and improving.

Friend, let me introduce you to anarcho-capitalism: the only system which respects private property and individual rights. We all know monopolies are bad*, so why give the state a monopoly on violence, justice and defense when the free market can do better? Here are 3 easy books:

You are a good man. 🔥 very original content.
