Democrats are working on behalf of the American people. Republicans are on vacation. House Republicans must come back, work with us, and stop the Republican shutdown.

Democrats are fighting to protect SNAP and save healthcare. It’s time for House Republicans to end their five-week vacation and reopen the government. Enough.

Our job right now is to fight. Our job right now is draw moral lines in the sand to show the differences between Democrats - who are fighting to protect American democracy - and Republicans - who are fighting to destroy it.

Americans across this country — in blue, red, and purple districts — want Congress to protect health care and stop costs from skyrocketing. Democrats are at the table, ready to negotiate. But Republicans are too busy on their vacation.

Democrats need to expose how Republicans are rigging the economy against them. We can’t afford to punish success, but can point to how Republicans are punishing ordinary working Americans.

Jeffries: "The Republicans are in the midst of an ongoing civil war. Donald Trump is fighting with Marjorie Taylor Greene. Mike Johnson and John Thune are fighting with each other. Cory Mills and Nancy Mace are fighting with each other. House Republicans are strongly disagreeing with Senate Republicans. The whole thing on the other side of the aisle is a mess. Meanwhile, as Democrats, we just want to fight for working class Americans."

The deadline to fund the government is just one week away. Democrats are fighting to reverse Republicans' cuts to Medicaid and protect your access to healthcare. Republicans are refusing to negotiate. They would rather shut the government down than give you healthcare.
