Democrats continue to riot outside Delaney Hall while blasting ICE over “ethnic food options” for illegal aliens awaiting deportation. Sec. Mullin: “They wanted ‘ethnic-correct’ food. This isn’t a Holiday Inn.”

🚨 When did Kentucky become a Sanctuary STATE? 🚨 Kentucky is quietly operating as a sanctuary state. Illegal immigrants arrested for crimes — sometimes even felonies — are being released back into our communities without so much as a glance at their immigration status. This isn’t the fault of our judges, police, or lawmakers, who work tirelessly to secure Law and Order in Kentucky. It’s the work of unelected bureaucrats who are dodging the law and putting Kentuckians at serious risk. At Tuesday’s Judiciary Committee hearing, I uncovered a shocking truth: the system designed to protect us is failing on purpose. When someone is arrested in Kentucky, Risk Assessment Specialists (RAS) and Pretrial Services Specialists (PSS) evaluate whether they’re a flight risk, likely to skip court, or a danger to the public (KRS 431.066). These factors determine if they’re released, often without a bond or even seeing a judge. But here’s the problem—RAS and PSS don’t bother checking if the person is an illegal immigrant, even when federal databases like NCIC could reveal an ICE detainer (a request from ICE to hold the individual for 48 hours for deportation proceedings), prior deportations, and other immigration cases. I pressed an executive officer of the Department of Pretrial Services at the hearing, and they admitted: immigration status isn’t even considered. Illegal immigrants, by their very presence, are breaking federal law. Many lack ties to the community, making them inherent flight risks. They’re less likely to show up to court and more likely to pose a danger if released. Yet, Kentucky’s bureaucrats are letting them walk free, often before ICE even knows they’re in custody. This is a betrayal of public safety and a slap in the face to the rule of law. That’s why I will be proposing legislation that: ✅ Requires Risk Assessment Specialists to check a defendant’s immigration status. ✅ Prohibits bail for anyone whose legal status can’t be verified until ICE is contacted and decides whether to pick them up for deportation. This ensures illegal immigrants aren’t released to disappear into our communities while awaiting trial. It’s common sense, and it’s already within the spirit of existing Kentucky law—just ignored by liberal, Beshear-loving bureaucrats hiding in administrative roles. Kentucky deserves better than a system that prioritizes criminal illegal aliens over citizens. I’m fighting to end this hug-a-thug, sanctuary state nonsense and restore accountability. Will you join me? ⬇️

Thank you Gary Vaynerchuk for telling people the truth about natural flavors. It takes immense courage to take a stand about an ingredient found in almost every packaged food on the shelf. Especially with so many guilty parties in attendance at the biggest natural food show in the world, Expo West. Gary knows, because his wife Dr Mona Vand Vaynerchuck told him the truth. ⚠️ Natural flavors are made in a lab from hundreds of different substances that may not even resemble the flavor itself. Like using beaver anal gland to make something taste like vanilla. ⚠️ That flavor needs to be preserved and stabilized and has agents added to help it mix well into a product. ⚠️ They contain preservatives, emulsifiers, solvents and other additives (such as: sodium benzoate, glycerin, potassium sorbate, and propylene glycol). None of which are labeled. ⚠️These formulas are top secret, so you don’t know what you are really eating. ⚠️ They’re designed to taste better than real food, meticulously engineered to get you hooked! ⚠️ They allow food companies to use less real food and trick consumers into thinking they are getting nutrition that isn’t there. This is why you can’t call your product “clean” while it’s filled with flavors designed in a lab to trick our taste buds. Check every product you eat and avoid those with Natural Flavors. This is how we will change the marketplace together and get these flavors out of our food!

The New Orleans New Orleans JazzFest is the Best. I love festivals and love this one the most, so I highly recommend it. I started coming 31 years ago and have only missed two because I love it so much. I come with a bunch of friends, our adult kids, and in some cases our and our friends' grandkids - so we've evolved three generations around the festival over three decades and they all love it because it's so great. It's great because it has the best music - all imaginable types from all over the world, including the biggest names (I saw the The Rolling Stones three days ago) and the most talented lesser-known great musicians (like the Meters, the Nevilles, Trombone Shorty playing simultaneously on 9 stages. It's an orgy of great music. And it has the best food -- not just for a festival but for food experiences anywhere. If I had to pick the top place to go for great eating, New Orleans would vie for my top pick. That's because it has the best indigenous food in the US, and the local restaurants have food kiosks at the Fest serving unique delectables like crawfish strudel, soft shell crab po-boys, seafood gumbo, etc. I recommend what I just told you plus a boiled crawfish sack and crawfish monica. And the people's vibe is cool too because the people couldn't be more diverse in ethnic and economic backgrounds while they share the same love of the great fundamentals of music, food, and camaraderie. It is funky - too funky/grungy for some until they settle into all the good stuff. And that's just the Fest. New Orleans has lots of great music clubs and restaurants that we wallow in after the Fest, typically til 2 or 3am. I suffer from FOMO, so I'm challenged here. My favorite music club, my favorite band, and my favorite people are the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The music is great because the Preservation Hall (which is a tiny converted, old-world residence that holds about 40 people) attracts the best musicians in the world. There's an abundance of exciting flavors here to stimulate all your senses and it's a great place to go with friends. So I suggest you check it out next year. #JazzFest
